4. Setup

4.1. Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery cover located on the back of the device.
  2. Insert the two AAA batteries into the battery compartment, ensuring the polarity (+ and -) matches the diagram inside the compartment.
  3. Close the battery cover securely.

4.2. Attaching the Lanyard

To attach the lanyard, thread the thin loop end of the lanyard through the lanyard loop hole on the side of the oximeter. Then, thread the thicker part of the lanyard through the thin loop and pull to secure it.

5. Operation

5.1. Taking a Measurement

  1. Ensure the device has batteries installed.
  2. Open the clamp of the oximeter.
  3. Insert one of your fingers (preferably the index or middle finger) into the rubber opening of the oximeter, ensuring your fingertip is placed correctly on the sensor.
  4. Release the clamp.
  5. Press the power button on the front of the device.
  6. Keep your hand still and avoid movement during the measurement. The readings will appear on the display within a few seconds.

5.2. Interpreting Readings

  • SpO2 (%): Displays the blood oxygen saturation level.

  • PI (%): Perfusion Index, indicates the strength of the pulse signal.

6.2. Battery Replacement

When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace the batteries promptly. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 4.1.

6.3. Storage

Store the oximeter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and humidity. If the device will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and damage.
