- Avoid weighing yourself immediately after intense exercise or large meals.
Maintenance and Care
Cleaning
To clean the scale, wipe the surface with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners, chemical solvents, or immerse the scale in water, as this can damage the electronic components.
Storage
Store the scale in a dry place at room temperature. Avoid extreme temperatures or high humidity. Do not place heavy objects on the scale when not in use, as this may affect its calibration over time.
Battery Replacement
When the display shows "Lo", it indicates low battery. Replace all 3 AAA batteries simultaneously to ensure optimal performance and accurate readings. Do not mix old and new batteries.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| "Lo" displayed | Low battery | Replace all 3 AAA batteries. |
| "Err" displayed | Overload or unstable reading | Ensure weight is within the 180 kg (400 lb) limit. Step off, wait for the display to clear, then step on again. Ensure the scale is on a flat, stable surface. |
| Inaccurate readings | Scale on uneven surface, movement during measurement, or calibration issue | Place on a hard, flat surface. Stand still during measurement. If issues persist, remove batteries for 10 seconds, then reinsert to reset the scale. |
| Scale does not turn on | Dead batteries or incorrect battery installation | Check battery polarity. Replace batteries if necessary. |
