Legal Disclaimer: Use of this thermometer is not intended as a substitute for consultation with your physician. It is clinically verified that forehead temperature is approximately 0.5-1.0°F lower than oral temperature. Average normal forehead temperature ranges from 97°F to 99°F. Your body temperature can vary depending on activity level or time of day.

Setup

Battery Installation

  1. Locate the battery lid on the back of the thermometer.
  2. Slide the lid open to reveal the battery compartment.
  3. Insert the two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
  4. Close the battery lid securely.

Operating Instructions

Taking a Temperature Measurement

  1. Ensure there is no hair or perspiration on the forehead.
  2. Click the ON/SCAN/OFF button to turn on the thermometer.
  3. Aim the thermometer at the center of the forehead, maintaining a distance of 0.6" to 2.0" from the skin.
  4. Click the ON/SCAN/OFF button again to initiate the measurement.
  5. The display will show the measurement result within approximately 1 second.

Fever Indicator

The Amplim thermometer features a fever indicator. A high temperature alarm is set at 100.1°F (37.8°C) to alert you to elevated readings.

Fahrenheit/Celsius Switching

The device allows switching between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C) units. Refer to the user manual for specific instructions on how to toggle between these modes.

Memory Function

The Amplim thermometer stores up to 32 previous temperature readings. To recall memory, when the power is off, hold the ON/SCAN/OFF button for 4 seconds. The display will cycle through the stored measurements.
