Installation Instructions

    • Attach the necessary mounting plate or bracket to the new ice maker if required to match your refrigerator's mounting points.
  5. Install New Ice Maker:
    • Position the new ice maker in the freezer compartment.
    • Secure it with the mounting screws. Ensure it is level and stable.
    • Connect the wiring harness. Make sure it clicks securely into place.
  6. Restore Power: Plug the refrigerator back into the electrical outlet or turn on the circuit breaker.
  7. Initial Check: Listen for the water fill valve to activate (a buzzing sound) as the ice maker fills with water. This may take a few minutes.

Note: It may take 12-24 hours for the ice maker to produce its first batch of ice after installation. Discard the first few batches of ice to ensure cleanliness.

Operating Instructions

Once installed and powered, the ice maker operates automatically. It will fill with water, freeze the water into cubes, and then eject the cubes into the ice bin. The ice level sensor arm will detect when the bin is full and temporarily stop ice production until more ice is needed.

  • Ice Production: Ensure the ice maker's sensor arm is in the down position to allow ice production. If the arm is held up, the ice maker will not produce ice.
  • Water Supply: Verify that the refrigerator's water supply line is connected and the water shut-off valve is open.
  • Temperature: The freezer temperature should be set to 0°F (-18°C) or colder for optimal ice production.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Periodically clean the ice bin with mild soap and water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before returning it to the freezer.
  • Water Filter: If your refrigerator has a water filter, replace it according to the manufacturer's recommendations to ensure clean, fresh-tasting ice.
  • Inspection: Occasionally inspect the ice maker for any signs of wear, leaks, or unusual noises.

Troubleshooting
