Operating Instructions

Remote Control Overview

The 2.4 GHz remote controller allows for 2-channel control, primarily managing throttle (up/down) and turning (left/right).

Image: A diagram of the remote control, highlighting the power light, power switch, high/low speed button, throttle, left trimmer, right trimmer, and left/right control stick.

  • Throttle (Left Stick): Controls the aircraft's altitude. Pushing up increases power and causes the plane to climb; pulling down reduces power and causes it to descend.
  • Left & Right (Right Stick): Controls the aircraft's turning direction. Moving the stick left or right adjusts the differential thrust of the propellers, causing the plane to turn in the desired direction.
  • High/Low Speed Button: Toggles between different flight speeds.
  • Trimmers: Used to fine-tune the aircraft's flight path if it drifts without input.

First Flight Preparation (Binding)

  1. Turn on the aircraft's power switch. The power light will blink.
  2. Turn on the remote controller's power switch.
  3. Move the left joystick (throttle) all the way down, then all the way up, and then all the way down again. The lights on both the aircraft and the remote will become solid, indicating a successful bind.

Flying Instructions

The HAWK'S WORK RC Airplane is designed for easy flight, featuring a built-in self-stabilization system. It supports two methods of takeoff:

  • Hand Throw: Hold the aircraft firmly and gently throw it forward into the wind while simultaneously applying throttle.
  • Ground Takeoff: Place the aircraft on a smooth, flat surface. Gradually increase throttle, and the aircraft will gain speed and lift off.

Controlling Flight Attitude

The aircraft's flight is controlled by adjusting throttle for altitude and differential thrust for turning. The 6-axis gyroscope provides stability, making it easier for beginners.

  • Ascending/Descending: Use the left joystick (throttle) to control the speed of the propellers. More throttle increases lift, less throttle decreases lift.
  • Turning: Use the right joystick to control the direction. The plane turns by adjusting the power to the two rear propellers independently.

Landing

To land, gradually reduce the throttle while maintaining a level flight path. Aim for a soft landing on a grassy area or a smooth surface. The durable foam construction helps absorb impacts.

Maintenance

  • Propeller Replacement: If a propeller is damaged, carefully remove it and replace it with a spare. Note that propellers are specifically marked for left (L) and right (R) sides.
  • Battery Care: Always fully charge the lithium batteries before use. Disconnect batteries from the aircraft and remote when not in use. Store batteries in a cool, dry place.
  • Cleaning: Wipe the aircraft with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt or debris. Avoid using water or harsh chemicals.
  • Storage: Store the aircraft and remote in a safe place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Aircraft does not respond to remote. Not bound, low batteries, out of range.Re-bind the aircraft and remote. Charge/replace batteries. Ensure within 100m range.
Aircraft flies erratically or drifts.Trimmers need adjustment, strong wind.Adjust trimmers on the remote. Avoid flying in windy conditions.
Propellers not spinning.Damaged propeller, motor issue, low battery.Check for obstructions. Replace damaged propellers. Charge aircraft battery.
Short flight time.Battery not fully charged, old battery.Ensure batteries are fully charged (approx. 40-60 mins). Consider replacing old batteries.
