Introduction

The Swann Master-Series 4K HD 8 Channel NVR CCTV camera security system is designed to provide comprehensive surveillance and peace of mind for your home or business. Setup

Connecting the NVR and Cameras

The Swann Master-Series system utilizes Power over Ethernet (PoE) for simplified installation. A single Ethernet cable provides both power and video transmission for each camera.

1. Connect the NVR to a power source using the provided NVR Power Adapter.
2. Connect the NVR to your router using the shorter Ethernet Cable (3ft/1m) for internet access.
3. Connect each NHD-875WLB camera to an available PoE port on the back of the NVR using the longer Ethernet Cables (60ft/18m).
4. Connect the NVR to a monitor or TV using the HDMI Cable for local viewing and configuration.
5. Connect the provided mouse to a USB port on the NVR for navigation.

Camera Placement

Strategically place your cameras to cover key areas. The NHD-875WLB cameras are IP66 rated, meaning they are built to withstand rain, snow, and heat, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation.

• Consider placing cameras at entry points like front doors, back doors, and ground-floor windows.
• Cover areas with valuable assets, such as driveways, garages, and sheds.
• Ensure cameras have a clear line of sight and are mounted securely using the provided screws and plugs.

Operating Your Security System

Remote Access via Swann Security App

Access your security system remotely from anywhere using the free Swann Security app on your iOS or Android smartphone or tablet. The app allows you to view live feeds, playback recorded footage, and receive alerts.

• Stream video from your camera via Hey Google (e.g., Chromecast, Google Home Hub).
• Stream video via Alexa devices with a screen (e.g., Echo Spot, Echo Show, 4K Fire TV).

Maintenance and Storage

Your NVR comes with a pre-installed 2TB HDD, providing ample storage for continuous 24/7 recording. This allows for months of stored video before the system begins saving over older footage.

• Continuous Recording: The system can record 24/7, ensuring no moment is missed.
• Event-Only Recording: Alternatively, set up recordings to trigger only when True Detect heat & motion is detected, saving storage space and making footage review more efficient.
• Local Storage: All recordings are stored locally on the 2TB hard drive, eliminating the need for monthly fees.
