5. Setup and Installation

The LEPOTEC LED Motion Sensor Light offers flexible installation options.

5.1 Magnetic Installation (for Iron Surfaces)

The light has a built-in magnet. Simply place the light directly onto any iron surface, such as a refrigerator or metal shelf. The magnet will hold it securely in place.

5.2 Adhesive Installation (for Non-Iron Surfaces)

For surfaces that are not magnetic (e.g., wood, plastic, painted walls), use the provided adhesive magnetic strips:

1. Clean the desired installation surface to ensure it is dry and free of dust or grease.
2. Peel off the protective backing from one side of the adhesive magnetic strip.
3. Attach the adhesive side of the strip firmly to the clean surface where you want to mount the light. Apply pressure for a few seconds.
4. The light can then be magnetically attached to the metal side of the strip. This allows for easy removal for charging or repositioning.

6. Operation

The light features a 3-mode switch for different operational settings:

• ON Mode: Slide the switch to 'ON' for continuous illumination. The light will remain on until manually switched off or to 'G' mode.
• OFF Mode: Slide the switch to 'OFF' to turn the light off completely.
• G (Motion Sensor) Mode: Slide the switch to 'G' to activate the motion sensor. In this mode, the light will:
  • Only activate in low-light conditions (dark environments). It will not turn on if sufficient ambient light is detected.
  • Automatically sense human motion within a 10ft (3m) range and a 120° angle.
  • Turn off automatically after approximately 20 seconds of no detected movement.

Caution:

• Under 'G' Mode, the sensor requires low-light conditions to activate. It will not turn on in a brightly lit environment.
• Avoid placing two motion-activated LED lights too close to each other, as they may interact and cause improper functioning.

7. Charging

The LEPOTEC LED Motion Sensor Light is equipped with a rechargeable battery for convenience and energy saving.

1. Locate the USB Type-C charging port on the side of the light (near the switch).
2. Connect the included USB Type-C charging cable to the light and plug the other end into a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
3. The charging indicator light will illuminate RED while charging.
4. Once fully charged, the indicator light will turn GREEN. A full charge typically takes approximately 3 hours.
5. After a full charge, the light can last for about 3 hours in 'ON' mode, or 2-4 weeks in 'G' (motion sensor) mode (based on approximately 10 activations per day).

8. Maintenance

To ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your LEPOTEC LED Motion Sensor Light, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Wipe the light with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish or electronic components.
• Water Exposure: This product is designed for indoor use and is not water-resistant. Avoid exposure to water, high humidity, or damp environments.
• Charging: Recharge the battery regularly, especially if the light output appears dim or the motion sensor becomes less responsive. Avoid completely draining the battery for extended periods.
• Storage: If storing the light for a long period, ensure it is fully charged and store it in a cool, dry place. Recharge every few months to maintain battery health.

9. Troubleshooting

• Light does not turn on in 'G' (Motion Sensor) mode:
  • Ensure the ambient environment is dark enough. The sensor is designed to activate only in low-light conditions.
  • Check if the battery is charged. Connect the light to the USB charger and observe the indicator light.
  • Verify the switch is firmly in the 'G' position.
• Light flickers or stays on continuously (even in 'OFF' or 'G' mode):
  • This may indicate an internal component issue. Try fully charging the device. If the problem persists, contact customer support for assistance.
• Motion sensor is too sensitive or not sensitive enough:
  • Adjust the placement of the light. Ensure there are no obstructions blocking the sensor's field of view.
  • Avoid placing multiple motion sensor lights too close to each other, as they can interfere with each other's operation.
• Short battery life:
  • Ensure the light is fully charged (green indicator).
  • Consider the frequency of activation in 'G' mode or continuous use in 'ON' mode. Higher usage will deplete the battery faster.
  • Battery performance can decrease over time with repeated charge cycles.
