2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

Each grinder requires 6 AAA batteries (not included). To install the batteries:

1. Turn the top portion of the grinder counter-clockwise to remove it from the transparent base.
2. Locate the battery compartment.
3. Insert 6 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Reattach the top portion by turning it clockwise until it locks securely.

2.2 Filling the Grinder

The transparent acrylic material at the bottom allows you to easily see the remaining spices and distinguish between different types. To fill the grinder:

1. Turn the top portion of the grinder counter-clockwise to remove it from the transparent base.
2. Fill the transparent base with your desired spices (e.g., pepper, salt). Do not overfill.
3. Reattach the top portion by turning it clockwise until it locks securely.

3. Operation

3.1 Automatic Gravity Operation

The Sweet Alice grinders feature a gravity sensor switch for effortless operation. There's no need to press any buttons. Simply tilt the grinder upside down, and it will automatically begin grinding your spices. When you return the grinder to an upright position, it will stop.

3.2 Adjustable Coarseness

Customize the coarseness of your grind from coarse to fine by adjusting the knob at the head of the grinder. Turn the adjustment knob clockwise for a finer grind and counter-clockwise for a coarser grind.

A blue LED light illuminates automatically when the grinder is in operation, allowing you to easily see the amount of spice being dispensed onto your food.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

To clean the outside of the mill, use a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the grinder in water or place it in a dishwasher. For internal cleaning, a small brush is provided to remove any residual spice particles from the ceramic grinding core.

If the mill does not work, it is generally due to the ceramic grinding core being stuck with granules. Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

1. Turn the coarseness adjustment knob at the top of the grinder counter-clockwise to its coarsest state.
2. Carefully use tweezers to remove any particles blocking the ceramic grinding core.
3. Once cleared, the grinder should operate normally.
