Installation Guide

Follow these steps for a quick and easy installation. This system is designed for cold water supply only.

1. Prepare for Installation

  • Turn off Water Supply: Locate the cold water shut-off valve under your sink and turn it off. Open your faucet to drain any remaining water.
  • Choose Mounting Location: Select a suitable location under your sink for the filter unit. Ensure there is enough space for the unit and for future filter replacements.
  • Use Drilling Assist Sticker: The included drilling assist sticker helps mark the precise locations for mounting screws.

2. Mount the Filter Unit

  • Drill pilot holes at the marked locations.
  • Insert the screws, leaving a small gap for the filter unit to hang.
  • Slide the filter unit onto the screws to secure it.

3. Connect Hoses

The system uses innovative push-to-connect fittings for easy hose attachment. Ensure correct inlet and outlet connections.

  • Connect the inlet hose to your cold water supply line. Use the 3/8''-1/2'' convertor fitting if needed.
  • Connect the outlet hose from the filter unit to the dedicated faucet.
  • Ensure all connections are secure to prevent leaks.

4. Flush the System

  • Slowly turn on the cold water supply.
  • Open the dedicated faucet and let the water run for at least 10 minutes to flush the system and remove any carbon fines.

Operating Instructions

Once installed, operate the dedicated faucet to dispense filtered water. The fast flow rate ensures quick access to clean water for drinking, cooking, and other uses.

Maintenance

Filter Replacement

The WD-RF10-UF filter has a lifespan of 12 months or 11,000 gallons, whichever comes first. Replacement is quick and tool-free:

  • Turn off the cold water supply to the filter system.
  • Twist the old filter cartridge counter-clockwise to unlock and pull it down to remove.
  • Insert the new filter cartridge (Model: WD-RF10-UF) into the filter head and twist clockwise to lock it into place.
  • Turn on the cold water supply and flush the new filter for 10 minutes.

Filter Life Reminder

Your system may come with either an internal or external filter life reminder. Both versions use indicator lights and beeps to signal when a filter replacement is needed.
