Option 1: Screw Mounting (Recommended for heavier loads)

  1. Choose a suitable location on a wall, ideally in a hallway or entrance.
  2. Mark the positions for the mounting screws using the device's backplate as a template.
  3. Drill holes at the marked positions and insert the provided dowels.
  4. Align the device with the holes and secure it to the wall using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly attached.

Option 2: Adhesive Tape Mounting (For lighter loads and smooth surfaces)

  1. Clean the desired mounting surface thoroughly to ensure it is free of dust and grease.
  2. Peel off the protective backing from the double-sided adhesive tape.
  3. Apply the tape to the designated areas on the back of the device.
  4. Press the device firmly against the wall at the chosen location for at least 30 seconds.
  5. Allow the adhesive to set for a few hours before hanging keys or other items.

6. Operating Instructions

The Northpoint LED Sensor Lamp operates automatically once batteries are installed and the device is mounted.

6.1. Automatic Light Activation

  • The integrated twilight sensor detects ambient light levels. The LED light will only activate when the surrounding environment is dark enough.
  • The motion detector senses movement within its detection range. When motion is detected in low-light conditions, the LED light will automatically turn on.
  • The light will remain on for a short period (typically 15-20 seconds) after motion ceases, then automatically turn off to conserve battery power.

6.2. Using the Key Holder

  • Hang your keychains, individual keys, or other small, lightweight items on the integrated hook.
  • The hook is designed to support a total load of up to 600 grams. Avoid exceeding this weight limit to prevent damage or detachment from the wall.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Battery Replacement

When the LED light becomes dim or stops activating, it is time to replace the batteries.

  1. Carefully remove the device from the wall if it was mounted with adhesive tape, or unscrew it if screw-mounted.
  2. Open the battery compartment on the back.
  3. Remove the old CR2032 batteries and dispose of them responsibly.
  4. Insert two new CR2032 batteries, observing correct polarity.
  5. Close the battery compartment and re-mount the device.

7.2. Cleaning

Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the surface or electronic components.

8. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Light does not turn on.
  • Batteries are dead or incorrectly inserted.
  • Ambient light is too bright (twilight sensor prevents activation).
  • No motion detected.
  • Replace batteries and check polarity.
  • Test in a darker environment.
  • Ensure motion is within detection range.
Light stays on too long or turns on randomly.
  • Constant motion in detection range.
  • Interference from heat sources or air currents.
  • Relocate the device to an area with less constant activity.
  • Ensure no heat vents or strong air currents are near the sensor.
Device falls off the wall.
  • Adhesive tape not strong enough or surface not clean.
  • Weight limit exceeded.
  • Screws not tightened sufficiently.
  • Re-mount with new adhesive tape on a clean surface, or use screws.
  • Reduce the weight of items on the hook.
  • Ensure screws are securely fastened.
