Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly install your Dual Adjustable Aquarium Light Arm Mount Kit:

1. Unpack Components: Carefully remove all parts from their packaging.
2. Remove Wire Docking Mounts: If your CURRENT USA light fixture has wire docking mounts, slide them out from each side of the light. If they are stiff, gently twist them or apply firm pressure to remove.
3. Determine Mounting Position: Decide where to place the tank mount arm brackets on your aquarium. You can mount them in the center, mid-center, or on the outer edges. Mounting on the outer edges allows for cleaner cable management behind the bracket.
4. Adjust Clip Position for Height: The tank mount arm brackets come pre-assembled with the clip in the center position, allowing the light to be approximately 6 inches above the waterline.
   • To lower the light for deeper light penetration, move the clip to the top position.
   • To raise the light for a wider light spread over your aquarium, move the clip to the bottom position.

   

5. Prepare Brackets for Tank Lip: Unscrew the mounting screws on the brackets to allow them to fit over the lip of your aquarium.
6. Clean Mounting Location: Ensure the area on your aquarium where the brackets will be mounted is clean and free of debris.
7. Mount Brackets: Slide the bracket into position on your aquarium and hand-tighten the screws.
8. Attach Light Fixture: Slide your CURRENT USA light fixture into the mounting clips from the side.
9. Secure Light Fixture: Tighten the screws on the mounting clips with a Phillips head screwdriver to secure the light fixture.
10. Cable Management: Use the provided cable wrap to attach the light cable neatly to the tank mount arm bracket for a clean setup.

Operating Instructions

Once installed, you can further optimize your lighting setup:

• Front-to-Back Adjustment: Loosen the top bolt on the arm and slide the light fixture forward or backward to center it over the main growth portion of your aquascape. This allows for precise light targeting.
• Height Adjustment: As described in the installation section, adjust the clip position on the arm to achieve the desired height for light penetration or spread.

Maintenance

To ensure longevity and optimal performance of your light arm mount kit:

• Regularly inspect all screws and connections to ensure they remain tight.
• Wipe down the aluminum arms and plastic brackets with a damp cloth to remove any salt creep or debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Ensure the light fixture's cables are securely managed to prevent accidental damage or dislodgement.

Troubleshooting

Issue: Brackets do not tighten sufficiently on smaller tanks.

Solution: Some users have found that replacing the included screws with longer M8 1.25 x 35 screws can provide a more secure fit for thinner tank rims. Ensure any replacement screws are suitable for aquarium environments.

Issue: Difficulty sliding light fixture into clips.

Solution: Ensure the light fixture is aligned correctly with the clips. If the clips are too tight, they may need to be slightly adjusted or gently widened (if made of pliable material) to accommodate the light. Do not force the light, as this may damage the fixture or clips.

Issue: Light fixture feels unstable after installation.

Solution: Double-check that all mounting screws are securely tightened. Ensure the brackets are properly seated on the aquarium rim and that the light fixture is fully inserted into the clips.
