Maintenance

Proper maintenance will extend the life and performance of your Casio watch.

Water Resistance:

  • Your watch is 100-meter water resistant. This means it is suitable for everyday use, swimming, and snorkeling.
  • Do not operate buttons while the watch is wet or submerged.
  • Avoid exposing the watch to hot water or steam, as this can damage the seals.
  • After exposure to saltwater, rinse the watch thoroughly with fresh water and wipe it dry with a soft cloth.

Cleaning:

  • Wipe the watch case and band with a soft, dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture.
  • For stubborn dirt, use a soft brush with mild soap and water, then rinse thoroughly and dry.
  • Avoid using chemical cleaners or solvents, as they can damage the watch's materials.

Battery Replacement:

The watch uses a CR2025 battery with an approximate life of 10 years. When the display becomes dim or functions become erratic, it may be time for a battery replacement. It is recommended to have the battery replaced by an authorized Casio service center to ensure proper water resistance sealing.

Troubleshooting

  • Display is blank or dim: The battery may be low or depleted. Replace the battery.
  • Incorrect time/date: Re-enter the time and date settings as described in the "Setup" section. Ensure your home city and DST settings are correct.
  • Fishing Mode/Moon Data inaccurate: Verify that your longitude and latitude settings are correctly entered. Incorrect coordinates will lead to inaccurate readings.
  • Buttons are unresponsive: Ensure the watch is not wet. If the issue persists, a reset may be required (consult a service center) or there might be an internal malfunction.
  • Water inside the watch: Immediately take the watch to an authorized service center. Do not attempt to dry it yourself, as this can cause further damage.
