Setup

1. Charging the Device:

Before first use, fully charge the control unit. Connect the USB charging cable to the control unit and the power adapter, then plug it into a wall outlet. Alternatively, you can charge it via a computer USB port or in a car using a compatible USB charger.

  • A full charge typically takes a few hours.
  • The battery indicator on the display will show charging status.

2. Attaching Wireless Electrode Pads:

The wireless electrode pads are designed for easy attachment to the control unit. Ensure the pads are clean and dry before use.

  1. Place the electrode pad on a flat surface with the contact plug facing upwards.
  2. Align the contact sockets of the wireless unit with the plugs on the electrode pad.
  3. Press the wireless unit down firmly until it clicks into place, ensuring a secure connection.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off:

Press the ON/+ button to turn the device on. Press the OFF/- button to turn it off. The display will illuminate upon power-on.

2. Selecting Mode (TENS/EMS):

The device offers two primary therapy modes: TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) for pain relief and EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) for muscle training and relaxation. Use the MODE button to switch between TENS and EMS modes.

3. Choosing Programs:

Each mode (TENS/EMS) has multiple pre-set programs (e.g., 8 programs per mode). After selecting the desired mode, use the MODE button again to cycle through the available programs (P1, P2, P3, etc.). The selected program number will be displayed.

4. Adjusting Intensity:

The device has two independent channels (CH1 and CH2), allowing you to adjust the intensity for each pair of pads separately. Use the CH1 and CH2 buttons to select the channel you wish to adjust. Then, use the ON/+ button to increase intensity and the OFF/- button to decrease intensity. There are 25 intensity levels available.

  • Start with the lowest intensity and gradually increase it until you feel a comfortable, yet effective, sensation.
  • Avoid setting the intensity too high, which may cause discomfort.

5. Setting the Timer:

The device includes a timer function, typically up to 60 minutes. The default time for each program is usually pre-set. You can adjust the session duration using specific timer controls (refer to the display for timer indication, often shown in minutes). The device will automatically shut off once the timer expires.

TENS Therapy (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation)

TENS therapy uses low-voltage electrical currents to stimulate nerves, primarily for pain relief. It works by blocking pain signals from reaching the brain and by stimulating the body's production of natural pain-relieving endorphins.

Applications:

  • Relief of chronic and acute pain.
  • Back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain.
  • Joint pain (e.g., knee, elbow).
  • Headaches and migraines (avoid placing electrodes on the head/face).

EMS Therapy (Electrical Muscle Stimulation)

EMS therapy uses electrical impulses to stimulate muscle contractions. This can be used for muscle strengthening, rehabilitation, and relaxation.

Applications:

  • Muscle spasm relaxation.
  • Prevention or retardation of disuse atrophy.
  • Increasing local blood circulation.
  • Re-educating muscles.
  • Maintaining or increasing range of motion.
  • Muscle strengthening and toning.

Maintenance

Cleaning the Device:

  • Wipe the control unit and wireless pads with a soft, damp cloth after each use.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the device in water.

Electrode Pad Care:

  • After use, place the electrode pads back on their protective film to maintain adhesiveness.
  • If the pads lose their stickiness, gently clean the adhesive surface with a drop of water.
  • Replace electrode pads when they no longer adhere well or if they cause skin irritation.

Storage:

  • Store the device and accessories in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Keep the device in its original packaging or a protective case when not in use.
