Setup
1. Initial Winding
As an automatic watch, the RN-AC0F02S winds itself through the motion of your wrist. However, for the first use or after the watch has stopped, it is recommended to manually wind it to build up an initial power reserve.
- Ensure the crown is in position 0 (normal position, pushed in).
- Rotate the crown clockwise approximately 30-40 times. This will provide sufficient power to start the watch and allow the automatic winding mechanism to take over.
2. Setting the Time
- Pull the crown out to position 2 (the outermost click). The second hand will stop.
- Rotate the crown to move the hour and minute hands to the desired time. To ensure correct AM/PM setting, advance the hands past 12 o'clock until the date changes. If the date changes, you are in the AM hours.
- Once the time is set, push the crown back into position 0 (normal position). The second hand will resume movement.
3. Setting the Date
- Pull the crown out to position 1 (the first click). The second hand will continue to move.
- Rotate the crown to set the desired date.
- Important: Avoid setting the date between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM, as this can interfere with the automatic date change mechanism and potentially damage the movement. If you need to set the date during this period, first set the time outside this window (e.g., to 6:00 AM), then set the date, and finally reset the correct time.
- Once the date is set, push the crown back into position 0 (normal position).
4. Adjusting the Metal Bracelet
The metal bracelet of your ORIENT watch can be adjusted for a comfortable fit. It is highly recommended to have this adjustment performed by a qualified watchmaker or an authorized ORIENT service center to prevent damage to the bracelet or watch case.

Operating the Watch
Automatic Movement
Your ORIENT RN-AC0F02S watch is powered by a mechanical automatic movement. This means it does not require a battery. The mainspring is wound by the natural motion of your wrist while wearing the watch. If the watch is not worn for an extended period, it will stop. Simply follow the initial winding steps to restart it.
Power Reserve
When fully wound, the watch has an approximate power reserve of 40 hours. This means it can continue to operate for about 40 hours after being taken off, provided it was fully wound.
Accuracy
The accuracy of your mechanical watch is specified as a daily difference of +25 seconds to -15 seconds. Factors such as temperature, position, and activity level can influence this accuracy. Regular wear and proper maintenance help maintain optimal performance.
Water Resistance
The watch is water-resistant to 100 meters (10 ATM). This rating makes it suitable for everyday use, including showering, swimming, and snorkeling. It is not suitable for scuba diving or high-impact water sports. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in before any contact with water.

Maintenance
Cleaning
To maintain the appearance of your watch, wipe the case and crystal with a soft, dry cloth regularly. For the metal bracelet, a soft brush with mild soap and water can be used, followed by thorough rinsing and drying. Ensure the crown is fully closed before cleaning with water.
Storage
When not wearing your watch, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and strong magnetic fields (e.g., speakers, refrigerators, certain electronic devices). Magnetic fields can affect the watch's accuracy.
Periodic Service
Like any precision mechanical instrument, your watch requires periodic servicing to ensure its long-term accuracy and reliability. It is recommended to have your watch inspected and serviced by an authorized ORIENT service center every 3 to 5 years.
Water Resistance Care
The gaskets that ensure water resistance can degrade over time. It is advisable to have the water resistance checked annually by an authorized service center, especially if the watch is frequently exposed to water. Avoid exposing the watch to sudden temperature changes (e.g., hot shower immediately followed by cold water), as this can compromise the seals.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your ORIENT RN-AC0F02S watch, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Watch has stopped or is running slowly:
As an automatic watch, it requires motion to wind. If it has stopped, manually wind the watch by rotating the crown 30-40 times clockwise while it's in position 0. Wear the watch regularly for at least 8-10 hours a day to ensure sufficient winding. - Time is inaccurate:
Check if the watch has been exposed to strong magnetic fields. If so, demagnetization by a professional watchmaker may be required. Ensure the watch is fully wound. If inaccuracy persists after these steps, the watch may require servicing. - Date is not changing or changes at noon:
This indicates the AM/PM setting is incorrect. Advance the time by 12 hours. Remember to avoid setting the date between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM to prevent damage. - Condensation inside the crystal:
This indicates a breach in the water resistance. Immediately take the watch to an authorized service center to prevent further damage to the movement.
For issues not covered here, or if troubleshooting steps do not resolve the problem, please contact an authorized ORIENT service center.
