1. Setup

1.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the safe from its packaging. Inspect the safe for any signs of damage. Ensure all components are present:

1.2 Battery Installation

The electronic lock requires batteries for operation. Locate the battery compartment, typically on the inside of the safe door or behind the keypad. Install the required batteries (usually AA, not included) according to the polarity markings.

1.3 Mounting the Safe

For enhanced security, it is recommended to mount the safe to a floor or wall. The safe includes pre-drilled mounting holes and hardware. Choose a secure location and follow these general steps:

  1. Position the safe in the desired location.
  2. Mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes on the back or bottom of the safe.
  3. Move the safe and drill pilot holes using an appropriate drill bit for your mounting surface.
  4. Reposition the safe and secure it using the provided mounting hardware.

2. Operating Instructions

2.1 Setting Your Personal Code

Your safe comes with a factory default code. It is crucial to change this to a personal code immediately after battery installation. Refer to the specific instructions provided with your safe for the exact procedure, which typically involves pressing a reset button (often inside the door), entering your new 3-8 digit code, and confirming it.

2.2 Opening the Safe with Your Code

To open the safe using your electronic code:

  1. Enter your 3-8 digit personal code on the keypad.
  2. Press the '✓' (check mark) button to confirm.
  3. Within 5 seconds, turn the handle clockwise to open the door.

2.3 Using the Backup Keys

In case of electronic lock failure or forgotten code, backup keys are provided. To use them:

  1. Locate the keyhole, usually concealed behind a removable cover on the keypad.
  2. Insert the backup key and turn it to unlock.
  3. Turn the handle to open the door.

2.4 Adjusting Shelves

The safe includes two adjustable shelves and three padded liners to customize storage space. The shelves can be removed or repositioned to accommodate items of various sizes.

2.5 Silent Mode
