1. Introduction

The Einhell TC-VC 18/20 Li wet & dry vacuum is designed for versatile cleaning tasks in various environments, including workshops, hobby rooms, patios, balconies, homes, and vehicles. It is particularly effective for stubborn and ingrained dirt on both textile and smooth surfaces. This product is part of the Power X-Change series, allowing compatibility with other Power X-Change batteries and chargers (sold separately).

2. Safety Instructions

Always read and understand all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations, and specifications provided with this power tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.

• Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
• Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
• Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
• Avoid accidental starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool.

4. Setup

1. Attach Wheels: Securely attach the four high-grade plastic wheels to the base of the vacuum tank for mobility.
2. Connect Hose: Insert the flexible hose into the suction inlet on the tank. For the blower function, connect the hose to the blower outlet.
3. Assemble Suction Tube: Connect the three-part extension tube sections together. Attach the desired nozzle (floor brush, crevice nozzle, or upholstery nozzle) to the end of the tube.
4. Install Filter:
   • For dry vacuuming, ensure the dirt collector bag and the cartridge filter are properly installed.
   • For wet vacuuming, remove the dirt collector bag. The cartridge filter is generally suitable for wet use, but consult the filter's specific instructions.
5. Insert Battery: Open the battery compartment on the power head and firmly insert a fully charged Einhell Power X-Change 18-Volt battery. (Note: Battery and charger are not included with this tool and must be purchased separately).

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Basic Operation

Once assembled and with a charged battery inserted, press the power switch located on the motor head to turn the vacuum ON. Press it again to turn OFF.

5.2. Dry Vacuuming

For dry debris, ensure the dirt collector bag and cartridge filter are correctly installed. Use the appropriate nozzle for the surface. The large suction nozzle with combination insert is ideal for carpets and smooth floors. The crevice nozzle is suitable for tight spaces, and the upholstery nozzle for furniture and car interiors.

5.3. Wet Vacuuming

Before wet vacuuming, remove the dirt collector bag. The cartridge filter is generally suitable for wet use, but always check the filter's specific instructions. The vacuum is designed to pick up liquids efficiently. Do not overfill the tank; the vacuum has a float system that will shut off suction when the tank is full to prevent overflow.

5.4. Blower Function

To use the blower function, connect the hose to the designated blower outlet on the motor head. This function is useful for clearing debris from hard-to-reach areas, corners, or blowing leaves and light debris from surfaces.

5.5. Car Interior Cleaning

The compact design and various nozzles make this vacuum ideal for cleaning car interiors. Use the crevice nozzle for tight spots and the upholstery nozzle for seats and carpets.

• Emptying the Tank: After each use, especially after wet vacuuming, empty the stainless steel tank. Clean it with water and mild detergent if necessary, then dry thoroughly to prevent rust and odors.
• Filter Maintenance:
  • For dry vacuuming, regularly check and empty the dirt collector bag. Replace it when full or damaged.
  • Clean the cartridge filter periodically by tapping out dust or rinsing with water (if washable) and allowing it to dry completely before reinstallation. Replace damaged or worn filters.
• Hose and Accessories: Inspect the hose, suction tubes, and nozzles for blockages or damage. Clear any obstructions and clean accessories as needed. Store them in the onboard accessory holder to prevent loss and damage.
• Battery Care: Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Follow the battery manufacturer's instructions for charging and storage to maximize battery life.
