2. Setup

1. Unpack: Carefully remove the humidifier and all packaging materials from the box. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
2. Placement: Place the humidifier on a firm, flat, waterproof surface at least 12 inches (30 cm) away from walls and furniture. Ensure the mist outlet is directed away from walls, furniture, and bedding.
3. Fill Water Tank:
   • Remove the water tank from the base.
   • Unscrew the tank cap at the bottom of the tank.
   • Fill the tank with cool, clean tap water. Do not use hot water.
   • Securely replace the tank cap, ensuring it is tightly sealed.
   • Place the filled water tank back onto the humidifier base, ensuring it is seated correctly.
4. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a 120V AC electrical outlet.

3. Operating Instructions

1. Power On: Turn the variable mist control dial clockwise to the desired mist output setting. The power indicator light will illuminate.
2. Adjust Mist Output: Rotate the dial to increase or decrease the mist output. The humidifier offers variable mist control from low to high.
3. Direct Mist: The humidifier features a rotating nozzle. Adjust the nozzle to direct the mist in the desired direction.
4. VapoPad/VapoSteam Usage (Optional):
   • Locate the VapoPad slot on the humidifier base.
   • Open the VapoPad door and insert one or two Vicks VapoPads. Close the door securely.
   • Alternatively, for Vicks VapoSteam, follow the instructions on the VapoSteam product packaging for proper use with a cool mist humidifier.
5. Automatic Shut-Off: The humidifier will automatically turn off when the water tank is empty. The power indicator light will change or turn off.
6. Power Off: To turn off the humidifier, rotate the variable mist control dial counter-clockwise until it clicks into the 'off' position.

4. Maintenance

Regular cleaning is essential to prevent mineral buildup and ensure optimal performance. This humidifier is designed to be filter-free, eliminating the need for filter replacements.

1. Daily Maintenance:
   • Turn off the humidifier and unplug it from the power outlet.
   • Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
   • Rinse the water tank thoroughly with clean water.
   • Wipe the base and mist outlet with a clean, damp cloth.
   • Refill the tank with fresh water before each use.
2. Weekly Cleaning (for mineral buildup):
   • Turn off and unplug the humidifier.
   • Remove the water tank and empty any remaining water.
   • Pour 1 cup (250 ml) of undiluted white vinegar into the water tank. Swish the vinegar around to wet all interior surfaces.
   • Let it stand for 20 minutes.
   • Empty the vinegar from the tank.
   • Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water until the vinegar smell is gone.
   • For the base, gently wipe the interior with a soft cloth dampened with white vinegar. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
   • Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling or storing.
3. Storage: When not in use for an extended period, clean the humidifier as described above, ensure all parts are dry, and store it in a cool, dry place.

• No Mist or Low Mist Output:
  • Ensure the humidifier is plugged in and turned on.
  • Check if the water tank is empty; refill if necessary.

• Water Leakage:
  • Ensure the tank cap is securely tightened.
