4. Setup
4.1 Battery Insertion
The MH8 can operate with either the included rechargeable Lithium-ion battery pack or two AA batteries.
- To access the battery compartment, gently twist and pull the rear cap of the lamp head.
- Insert the rechargeable Lithium-ion battery pack with the positive (+) terminal facing inwards, or insert two AA batteries according to the polarity indicators.
- Securely reattach the rear cap by aligning and twisting until it clicks into place.

4.2 Charging the Lithium-ion Battery
Use the provided magnetic charging cable to recharge the Lithium-ion battery pack.
- Connect the magnetic end of the charging cable to the charging port on the lamp head. The magnetic connection will secure it in place.
- Connect the USB end of the cable to a suitable USB power source (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter).
- The battery status indicator will show the charging progress. A full charge typically takes several hours.
- Disconnect the cable once charging is complete.
Note: Only the Lithium-ion battery pack is rechargeable. Do not attempt to charge AA batteries within the device.
5. Operation
5.1 Powering On/Off and Light Modes
The MH8 features multiple light modes accessible via the main power button.
- Power On/Off: Press the main button once to turn the headlamp on. Press and hold to turn it off.
- Cycle Modes: While the headlamp is on, press the button repeatedly to cycle through the main light modes:
- Power: Maximum brightness (600 lumens).
- Mid Power: Balanced brightness for general use.
- Low Power: Extended runtime (20 lumens, up to 40 hours).
- Blink: Flashing light for signaling.
- Boost Mode: A temporary burst of maximum brightness. Activate by double-pressing the main button.
- Energy Modes: The MH8 offers two energy modes:
- Constant Light Mode: Provides consistent light output until the battery is depleted.
- Energy Saving Mode: Light output gradually decreases to extend battery life.
5.2 Advanced Focus System
Adjust the light beam from a wide floodlight to a focused spot beam by sliding the lamp head forward or backward. This allows for precise illumination depending on your activity.
5.3 Multi-color LEDs
The MH8 includes red, green, and blue LEDs for specific applications.
- Red Light: Preserves night vision, ideal for map reading or discreet use.
- Green Light: Useful for observing wildlife as many animals are less sensitive to green light.
- Blue Light: Can be used for tracking or identifying certain fluids.
To activate the multi-color LEDs, typically press and hold the main button for a longer duration or use a specific button sequence (refer to the full manual for exact instructions).
5.4 Removable Lamp Head
The lamp head can be easily detached from the head strap for use as a compact handheld light. Simply slide the lamp head out of its mounting bracket. To reattach, align the lamp head with the bracket and slide it back until it securely locks.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the headlamp with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Care: If storing for extended periods, remove AA batteries. For the Li-ion battery, charge it periodically (every 3-6 months) to maintain its lifespan.
