1. Introduction and Safety Information

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your Einhell GE-CM 36/36 Li Cordless Lawnmower. Please read all instructions carefully before using the product.

General Safety Warnings

• Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, sturdy footwear, and hearing protection.
• Keep children and bystanders away from the operating area.
• Inspect the area to be mowed for objects that could be thrown by the blade. Remove any stones, sticks, wires, or other debris.
• Never operate the lawnmower in wet grass or rain.
• Ensure the safety key is removed when the mower is unattended, before cleaning, or performing maintenance.
• Use only original Einhell batteries and chargers specified for this model.

3. Setup

3.1 Assembly

The lawnmower requires minimal assembly. Follow these steps:

1. Attach the lower handle to the mower body using the provided fasteners. Ensure it is securely tightened.
2. Connect the upper handle to the lower handle. Adjust the handle height to a comfortable position using the 3-step adjustment mechanism and secure it.
3. Assemble the grass catcher box according to the diagrams in the separate assembly guide (if applicable).
4. Mount the assembled grass catcher box onto the rear of the lawnmower.

3.2 Battery Charging and Insertion

The kit includes two 18V 4.0 Ah Power X-Change batteries and two chargers.

• Insert the batteries into the chargers. The LED indicators on the chargers will show the charging status. Charge both batteries fully before first use.
• Once charged, slide both batteries into the battery compartments on the lawnmower until they click into place. Ensure they are fully seated.
• Insert the safety key into its designated slot. The mower will not operate without the safety key.

3.3 Cutting Height Adjustment

The lawnmower features a 6-level central cutting height adjustment mechanism.

• To adjust the cutting height, locate the central lever on the side of the mower.
• Pull the lever outwards and move it up or down to select the desired cutting height. The available heights range from 3 cm to 7.5 cm.
• Release the lever to lock it into position. Ensure the mechanism is securely engaged before operation.

4. Operating the Lawnmower

4.1 Pre-Operation Checks

• Ensure all fasteners are tight and the mower is in good working condition.
• Check that the grass catcher box is correctly attached.
• Verify that the batteries are fully charged and properly inserted.
• Confirm the safety key is in place.

4.2 Starting and Stopping

1. To start: Press and hold the safety button, then pull the switch bar towards the handle. The motor will start.
2. To stop: Release the switch bar. The motor will stop immediately.
3. Always remove the safety key when leaving the mower unattended.

4.3 Mowing Techniques

For best results:

• Mow in overlapping rows to ensure even coverage.
• Avoid overloading the mower by cutting excessively long grass in one pass. If grass is very long, raise the cutting height for the first pass, then lower it for a second pass.
• Maintain a steady pace.
• Empty the grass catcher box when the level indicator shows it is full to maintain optimal cutting performance and prevent clogging.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your lawnmower. Always remove the safety key and batteries before performing any maintenance.

5.1 Cleaning

• After each use, clean the underside of the mower deck to remove grass clippings and debris. Use a brush or scraper.
• Wipe down the exterior of the mower with a damp cloth. Do not use high-pressure water or harsh chemicals.
• Clean the grass catcher box thoroughly.

5.2 Blade Care

• Regularly inspect the cutting blade for sharpness and damage. A dull blade can tear grass, leading to an unhealthy lawn.
• If the blade is dull, it should be sharpened or replaced by a qualified service technician.
• Ensure the blade is balanced after sharpening to prevent vibration.

5.3 Battery Care and Storage

• Store batteries in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• For long-term storage, charge batteries to approximately 50% capacity.
• Do not store batteries fully discharged.
