Setup

1. Charging the L2 Mini Preamp

The LAVA U features an integrated L2 mini preamp with FreeBoost technology, powered by a Lithium Ion battery. Before first use, or if the effects are not functioning, ensure the battery is fully charged.

1. Locate the USB charging port on the L2 mini preamp, typically found on the side of the ukulele body.
2. Connect the provided USB charging cable to the ukulele's USB port and to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or computer USB port.

2. Tuning the Ukulele

Operating the LAVA U

1. Using FreeBoost Effects

The L2 mini preamp with FreeBoost technology allows you to apply effects like Reverb, Delay, and Chorus without needing an external amplifier. These effects are generated directly by the ukulele's body.

1. Turn on the L2 mini preamp by pressing the On/Off button.
2. Adjust the desired effect using the control knobs located on the side of the ukulele. One knob typically controls Reverb, while another controls a combination of Chorus and Delay.

2. Connecting to an Amplifier

• Clean the strings periodically with a string cleaner or a dry cloth to prolong their life and maintain tone.

2. Storage and Environmental Conditions

The LAVA U's AirSonic carbon fiber composite construction provides exceptional durability and resistance to environmental changes.

• Store the ukulele in its provided Space Case when not in use to protect it from dust, impacts, and extreme conditions.
• The instrument is designed to withstand temperatures from -4°F to 140°F (-20°C to 60°C) and humidity from 10% to 90%. While robust, prolonged exposure to extreme conditions should still be minimized for optimal longevity.
