2. Setup Guide

2.1 Package Contents

Before you begin, ensure all components are present:

2.2 Connecting Your FRITZ!Box

Follow these steps to connect your device:

1. Connect to Cable Outlet: Use the provided coaxial cable to connect the "Cable" port on your FRITZ!Box to your cable wall outlet. Ensure a secure connection.
2. Connect Power: Plug the power supply unit into the "Power" port on the FRITZ!Box and then into an electrical outlet. The "Power/Cable" LED on the front of the FRITZ!Box will begin to flash.

2.3 Initial Configuration

Once connected, open a web browser on a device connected to the FRITZ!Box (either via LAN or Wi-Fi using the default Wi-Fi key found on the device label). Enter http://fritz.box or 192.168.178.1 into the address bar. Follow the on-screen wizard to complete the setup, including entering your internet access data provided by your cable provider.

3. Operating Your FRITZ!Box

3.1 Wi-Fi Connectivity (Wi-Fi 6)

The FRITZ!Box 6660 Cable supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) for enhanced speed and efficiency. The default Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password are printed on the bottom of your FRITZ!Box. You can change these settings via the FRITZ!Box user interface.

The FRITZ!Box 6660 Cable acts as a Mesh Master, combining all FRITZ! devices (like FRITZ!Repeater and FRITZ!Powerline) into a single, intelligent Wi-Fi network. This ensures optimal Wi-Fi coverage and performance throughout your home.

• Adding Mesh Devices: Simply connect compatible FRITZ!Repeater or FRITZ!Powerline devices to your network, and they will automatically integrate into the Mesh.
• Central Management: Manage your entire Mesh network from the FRITZ!Box user interface.

3.3 Telephony Functions

The integrated VoIP telephone system supports various types of phones:

• Analog Phones: Connect an analog telephone to the "FON 1" port.
• DECT Cordless Phones: The FRITZ!Box has a DECT base station for up to 6 cordless phones (e.g., FRITZ!Fon models). Register your DECT phone via the user interface or by pressing the "DECT" button on the FRITZ!Box.
• IP Telephones: Configure IP phones via the FRITZ!Box user interface.

3.4 Media Server and USB Functions

The USB 2.0 port allows you to connect external storage devices (USB sticks, hard drives) or printers. The integrated media server (UPnP AV) makes content on connected storage devices accessible to all devices in your home network, such as smart TVs, media players, or computers.
