Control Panel (Refer to Figure 4.1):

• POWER Button: Press and hold to turn the microphone ON or OFF. Press briefly to change lighting modes.
• VOLUME Controls (+/-): Adjust the microphone's vocal volume.
• ECHO Controls (+/-): Adjust the echo effect applied to your voice.
• DUETS Button: Used for pairing two microphones together for duet mode.
• Bluetooth Button: Press to enter Bluetooth pairing mode.
• Charging Port: Micro-USB port for charging the internal battery.

5. Setup

5.1. Charging the Microphones

1. Connect the small end of the USB charging cable to the Charging Port on the microphone.
2. Connect the large end of the USB charging cable to a powered USB port (e.g., computer, USB wall adapter).
3. The charging indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.
4. Allow approximately 2-3 hours for a full charge.

Note: Fully charge the microphones before first use for optimal battery life.

5.2. Powering On/Off

• To Power On: Press and hold the POWER button for approximately 3 seconds. You will hear an audible prompt.
• To Power Off: Press and hold the POWER button for approximately 3 seconds. You will hear an audible prompt.

5.3. Bluetooth Pairing (Single Microphone)

1. Ensure the microphone is powered on. It will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a flashing Bluetooth light.
2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet), go to the Bluetooth settings and enable Bluetooth.
3. Search for available devices and select "SMM478" from the list.
4. Once paired, the Bluetooth light on the microphone will stop flashing and remain solid. You will hear a confirmation tone.

Note: If prompted for a password, enter "0000".

5.4. Duet Pairing (Two Microphones)

This feature allows two SMM478 microphones to connect to a single Bluetooth device for duet performances.

1. Power on both SMM478 microphones.
2. On the first microphone, press the DUETS button. It will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing light.
3. On the second microphone, press the DUETS button. The two microphones will attempt to pair with each other.
4. Once the two microphones are paired, the DUETS light on both will become solid. You will hear a confirmation tone.
5. Now, connect your Bluetooth-enabled device to the first microphone (the one you pressed DUETS on initially) as described in Section 5.3. The device will recognize both microphones as a single audio output.

Note: Ensure both microphones are within close proximity (e.g., 1 meter) during duet pairing.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Playing Music

After successfully pairing your microphone(s) with a Bluetooth device, you can play music through the integrated speaker(s). Control music playback (play/pause, skip tracks) directly from your connected device.

6.2. Adjusting Microphone Volume

Use the VOLUME + and VOLUME - buttons on the microphone to increase or decrease the volume of your voice.

6.3. Applying Echo Effect

Use the ECHO + and ECHO - buttons on the microphone to adjust the intensity of the echo effect applied to your voice.

6.4. Changing Lighting Effects

Briefly press the POWER button to cycle through different lighting modes on the microphone's base. The lights are designed to sync with your singing.

7.1. Cleaning

• Always power off the microphone before cleaning.
• Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces.
