Product Overview: Controls and Ports
Familiarize yourself with the various controls and connection ports on your NDS-1517 speaker:

- MIC INPUT: Connect a wired microphone.
- MIC VOLUME KNOB: Adjust the microphone's volume level.
- ECHO KNOB: Adjust the echo effect for the microphone.
- TF CARD SLOT: Insert a TF (microSD) card for audio playback.
- ▶▶I / REC: Short press to play/pause. Long press to record microphone input to USB/TF.
- ◀◀ / REC: Short press for previous track. Long press to record microphone input to USB/TF.
- ▶▶ / TWS: Short press for next track. Long press to activate TWS pairing mode.
- Mode / LED: Press to switch between input modes (Bluetooth, USB, TF, AUX, FM). Long press to toggle disco light.
- USB PORT: Insert a USB flash drive for audio playback.
- AUX INPUT: Connect external audio devices via a 3.5mm audio cable.
- Volume / Power: Rotary knob to adjust master volume and power the unit ON/OFF.
- Charge: Charging indicator light.
- DC 5V POWER: Power input port for charging the speaker.
Setup Guide
Charging the Speaker
- Connect the provided power adapter to the DC 5V POWER port on the rear panel of the speaker.
- Plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet.
- The Charge indicator light will illuminate during charging. It will turn off or change color when fully charged.
- Allow approximately 4-6 hours for a full charge before first use.
Powering On/Off
- To power on the speaker, rotate the Volume / Power knob clockwise until you hear a click and the display illuminates.
- To power off the speaker, rotate the Volume / Power knob counter-clockwise until you hear a click and the display turns off.
Operating Instructions
Bluetooth Pairing
- Power on the speaker. It will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, indicated by a flashing "BLUE" on the LED display and an audible prompt.
- Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).
- Search for "NAXA NDS-1517" in the list of available Bluetooth devices.
- Select "NAXA NDS-1517" to connect. Once paired, the speaker will provide an audible confirmation.
- You can now stream audio wirelessly from your device to the speaker.
True Wireless Stereo (TWS) Function
The TWS function allows you to connect two NDS-1517 speakers wirelessly for a true stereo sound experience.
- Ensure both NDS-1517 speakers are powered on and in Bluetooth mode, but NOT connected to any Bluetooth device.
- On one of the speakers, long press the ▶▶ / TWS button. The speaker will emit a sound indicating it's searching for another TWS speaker.
- The two speakers will automatically pair with each other. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation sound.
- Now, connect your mobile device to one of the paired speakers via Bluetooth as described in the "Bluetooth Pairing" section. The audio will play in stereo across both speakers.
USB / TF Card Playback
- Insert a USB flash drive into the USB PORT or a TF (microSD) card into the TF CARD SLOT.
- The speaker will automatically switch to USB/TF mode and begin playing audio files (MP3, WAV, etc.) from the inserted media. If it doesn't, press the Mode / LED button to select the correct mode.
- Use the ◀◀ and ▶▶ buttons to navigate between tracks.
- Press the ▶▶I button to play or pause.
AUX Input
- Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX INPUT port on the speaker.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the audio output jack of your external device (e.g., MP3 player, laptop).
- Press the Mode / LED button to switch the speaker to AUX mode.
- Audio from your external device will now play through the speaker. Control playback from your external device.
Microphone Usage and Recording
- Connect the included wired microphone to the MIC INPUT port.
- Adjust the microphone's volume using the MIC VOLUME KNOB.
- Adjust the echo effect using the ECHO KNOB.
- To record your microphone input (requires a USB drive or TF card inserted): Long press the ▶▶I / REC or ◀◀ / REC button. The recording will be saved to the USB drive or TF card.
Disco Light Operation
- To turn the disco light ON or OFF, long press the Mode / LED button.
- The disco light will illuminate and pulse with the music.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the speaker. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the speaker in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, fully charge the speaker before storing it for long periods and recharge it every 3-6 months.
Troubleshooting
