Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the machine and all accessories from the packaging. Remove any protective films or packaging materials.
- Positioning: Place the machine on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface, away from water sources and direct sunlight. Ensure adequate ventilation around the machine.
- Water Tank Installation: Remove the water tank from the back of the machine. Rinse it with fresh water and fill it with cold drinking water up to the MAX mark. Place the water tank back securely onto the machine.

- Drip Tray: Ensure the drip tray and grid are correctly inserted at the front of the machine.
- First Use / Rinsing: Before first use, or after a long period of inactivity, perform a rinsing cycle.
- Place a large cup under the coffee outlet.
- Plug the machine into a grounded power outlet. All three coffee buttons will flash.
- Press any coffee button. The machine will start pumping water through the system. Repeat this process until the water tank is empty.
- Refill the water tank. The machine is now ready for use.
Operating Instructions
The Cafissimo Easy features a patented three-pressure brewing system, optimizing the brewing process for different coffee types: Espresso, Caffè Crema, and Coffee.

Brewing Coffee
- Power On: Ensure the machine is plugged in and the water tank is filled. The three coffee buttons will illuminate steadily when ready.
- Insert Capsule: Open the capsule holder by lifting the lever. Insert a Tchibo Cafissimo capsule into the designated slot. Close the lever firmly until it clicks.

- Place Cup: Place a cup of appropriate size under the coffee outlet. The removable cup rack allows for larger cups (up to 12.5 cm).

- Select Coffee Type: Press one of the three illuminated buttons according to the capsule type and desired beverage:
- Left Button (Espresso): For Espresso capsules (approx. 40 ml).
- Middle Button (Caffè Crema): For Caffè Crema capsules (approx. 125 ml).
- Right Button (Coffee): For Coffee capsules (approx. 125 ml).
- Capsule Ejection: After brewing, lift the lever to automatically eject the used capsule into the internal collection container. Close the lever. The container holds up to 4 used capsules.
- Automatic Shut-off: The machine will automatically switch off after 9 minutes of inactivity to save energy.
Adjusting Brew Volume (Programmable Cup Settings)
You can program the desired brew volume for each coffee type (30 ml - 250 ml).
- Insert a capsule and place a cup.
- Press and hold the button for the coffee type you wish to program.
- Release the button when the desired amount of coffee has been dispensed into the cup. The new volume is now saved for that button.
Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Cafissimo Easy machine.
Daily Cleaning
- Drip Tray and Grid: Empty and rinse the drip tray and grid daily or as needed. These parts are dishwasher safe.
- Used Capsule Container: Empty the used capsule container regularly (after 4 capsules) and rinse it with water. This part is also dishwasher safe.
- Water Tank: Rinse the water tank daily and refill with fresh water.
- Machine Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
Descaling
The machine has an automatic descaling display. When descaling is required, the buttons will indicate this (refer to your machine's specific light pattern for descaling indication, typically flashing in a certain sequence). Descale your machine regularly to prevent limescale buildup, which can affect performance and taste.
- Use a descaling solution specifically designed for coffee machines. Follow the instructions provided with the descaling agent.
- Typically, the process involves filling the water tank with descaling solution, running it through the machine, and then performing several rinsing cycles with fresh water.
