2. Setup

2.1 Unpacking

2.2 Filling the Water Tank

1. Remove the water tank from the back of the machine.
2. Fill the tank with fresh, cold drinking water up to the MAX mark.
3. Place the water tank back onto the machine, ensuring it is securely seated.

2.3 Initial Rinse Cycle

Before first use, perform a rinse cycle to clean the internal system:

1. Ensure the water tank is filled.
2. Place an empty cup under the coffee spout.
3. Press any coffee preparation button (e.g., the coffee button) without inserting a capsule.
4. Allow the machine to dispense water until the tank is empty or the cycle completes.
5. Repeat this process 2-3 times to ensure thorough rinsing.

3. Operating the Machine

3.1 Preparing Coffee

The Cafissimo Easy machine offers three distinct brewing pressures for different coffee types:

• Espresso: For intense, small coffee shots.
• Caffè Crema: For a medium-sized coffee with a fine crema.
• Coffee: For a larger cup of filter-style coffee.

Follow these steps to brew your coffee:

1. Ensure the water tank is filled.
2. Open the capsule compartment by lifting the lever.
3. Insert a Tchibo Cafissimo capsule into the compartment. Close the lever firmly until it clicks.
4. Place a suitable cup on the drip tray. For larger cups, the drip tray can be removed.
5. Press the button corresponding to your desired coffee type (Espresso, Caffè Crema, or Coffee). The machine will begin brewing.
6. Once brewing is complete, the used capsule will automatically drop into the internal collection container when the lever is next opened.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Daily Cleaning

• Drip Tray and Capsule Container: Empty and clean the drip tray and the used capsule container daily or after every 4 capsules. Both are removable for easy cleaning.
• Water Tank: Rinse the water tank regularly and refill with fresh water.
• Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

4.2 Descaling
