2. Safety Instructions

Always observe basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons. This appliance is for household use only.

• Ensure the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to your mains voltage before connecting.

4. Setup

Follow these steps for the initial setup of your coffee machine.

1. Unpack the Machine: Carefully remove all packaging materials and place the machine on a stable, flat surface.
2. Fill the Water Tank: Remove the water tank from the back of the machine. Rinse it and fill it with fresh tap water up to the MAX level. Insert the water filter if desired, following its specific instructions. Reinsert the tank securely.
3. Add Coffee Beans: Open the lid of the coffee bean hopper and pour fresh coffee beans into it. Close the lid to preserve aroma.
4. Connect to Power: Plug the appliance into a suitable power outlet.
5. Initial Rinse Cycle: The machine will guide you through an initial rinse cycle. Follow the on-screen instructions, placing a container under the coffee spouts to collect the water.

5. Operating

Your Dinamica Plus machine offers a user-friendly experience with its intuitive touch-display.

1. Turn On: Press the power button. The machine will perform a brief self-diagnosis and rinse cycle.
2. Select Your Beverage: Use the colorful touch-display to browse and select from 16 available beverages, including Espresso, Cappuccino, Latte, and more.
3. Customize (Optional): For many beverages, you can customize parameters such as coffee strength, temperature, and milk quantity directly on the screen.
4. Start Brewing: Press the 'Start' button or the selected beverage icon. The machine will automatically grind the beans (if using whole beans) and brew your coffee.
5. Using Pre-Ground Coffee: If using pre-ground coffee, ensure the machine is ON. Open the ground coffee funnel cover, add one level scoop of pre-ground coffee using the provided dosing spoon, then select the 'Pre-Ground Coffee' option on the display before starting the brew cycle. Important: Never add ground coffee before the machine is turned on, as this can cause damage.

Temperature Adjustment:

If you prefer hotter beverages, navigate to the settings menu on the touch-display to adjust the coffee temperature to your preference.

6. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and performance of your machine.

Daily Cleaning:

• Drip Tray and Grounds Container: Empty and rinse the drip tray and the coffee grounds container daily. The machine will prompt you when the grounds container needs emptying.
• Water Tank: Rinse the water tank daily and refill with fresh water.
• Milk Container: After each use, perform the automatic cleaning cycle for the milk system. Detach and rinse the milk container components thoroughly with water.
• Coffee Spouts: Wipe the coffee spouts with a damp cloth.

Weekly/Bi-Weekly Cleaning:

• Brewing Unit: The brewing unit is removable for cleaning. Turn off the machine, remove the water tank and grounds container, then press the two red release buttons to extract the brewing unit. Rinse it under running water and allow it to air dry before reinserting.
• Bean Hopper: Ensure the bean hopper is clean and free of oily residues.

Descaling:

The machine features automatic descaling programs and will indicate when descaling is required. Use only De'Longhi descaling solution. Follow the on-screen instructions precisely for the descaling process. This typically involves:

1. Emptying the water tank and filling it with the descaling solution and water mixture.
2. Placing a large container under the coffee and hot water spouts.
3. Initiating the descaling program and following prompts.
4. Performing rinse cycles after descaling to remove all descaling solution residue.
