2. Important Safety Information

4. Installation Instructions
4.1 Tools Required
- Phillips Head Screwdriver
- Wire Strippers
- Pliers
- Electrical Tape (optional)
- Safety Glasses
4.2 Step-by-Step Installation
- Turn Off Power: Before starting, ensure the power to the junction box is turned off at the circuit breaker or fuse box.
- Prepare Mounting Surface: Remove the old fixture (if applicable). Ensure the mounting surface is clean, dry, and structurally sound.
- Attach Mounting Plate: Secure the mounting plate to the junction box using the provided mounting screws. Ensure the plate is flush against the wall.
- Make Electrical Connections:
- Connect the black wire from the fixture to the black (hot) wire from the junction box.
- Connect the white wire from the fixture to the white (neutral) wire from the junction box.
- Connect the ground wire from the fixture to the ground wire from the junction box (or to the green ground screw on the mounting plate).
- Secure Fixture: Carefully tuck all wires into the junction box. Align the fixture body with the mounting plate and secure it using the fixture screws. Ensure the gasket is properly seated between the fixture and the mounting surface for a watertight seal.
- Install Bulb: Insert one 60W Type A maximum bulb (not included) into the socket. Do not exceed the recommended wattage.
- Attach Glass Shade: Carefully place the clear glass shade over the bulb and secure it according to the fixture design (e.g., by tightening retaining screws or a threaded ring).
- Restore Power: Once installation is complete, restore power at the circuit breaker or fuse box and test the light fixture.

5. Operating Instructions
The Canarm KORBER IOL458BK Outdoor Down Light operates with a standard wall switch (not included). Simply toggle the wall switch to turn the light fixture on or off.
5.1 Bulb Replacement
To replace the bulb:
- Turn off power to the fixture at the circuit breaker.
- Allow the bulb to cool completely if it has been recently in use.
- Carefully remove the glass shade.
- Unscrew the old bulb and screw in a new 60W Type A maximum bulb.
- Reattach the glass shade.
- Restore power and test the new bulb.
