Setup
Power Source and Battery Installation
The Casio DR-240R operates on AC power and requires 2 AAA batteries for memory backup. Ensure the calculator is connected to a power outlet for primary operation.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the underside of the calculator.
- Slide the cover to open it.
- Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Replace the battery compartment cover.
Paper Roll Installation
To enable printing, a paper roll must be correctly installed.
- Open the printer cover by lifting it gently.

- Close the printer cover.

- Addition (+): Enter first number, press +, enter second number, press =.
- Subtraction (-): Enter first number, press -, enter second number, press =.

- Clear All (CA): Clears all entries and memory.
- Clear Entry (C): Clears the last entered number.

- To set the tax rate: Press SET, enter the tax rate percentage, then press TAX+.

The calculator can determine any of these three values if the other two are known.
- To calculate Selling Price: Enter Cost, press COST, enter Margin percentage, press MAR, then press SELL.
- To calculate Cost: Enter Selling Price, press SELL, enter Margin percentage, press MAR, then press COST.
- To calculate Margin: Enter Cost, press COST, enter Selling Price, press SELL, then press MAR.

- OFF ON PRINT Selector: Use this switch to select print mode (ON), non-print mode (OFF), or item count mode (ITEM).
- FEED: Advances the paper roll.
- REPRINT: Prints a copy of the last calculation record. This function works even if the calculator is in print-off mode.
