  3. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a standard 120V AC electrical outlet. Ensure the outlet is properly grounded.
  4. Initial Burn-off: Before first use, turn both burners to the maximum setting for approximately 5 minutes without any cookware. This will burn off any manufacturing residues and is normal. A slight odor or smoke may be present during this process; ensure the area is well-ventilated.

4. Operating Instructions

The Megachef Ceramic Infrared Double Cooktop is designed for ease of use with its intuitive controls.

Using the Cooktop:

  1. Select Cookware: Use flat-bottomed cookware made of heat-conductive materials such as stainless steel, cast iron, or ceramic. Ensure the cookware base covers the heating zone adequately for efficient heating.
  2. Place Cookware: Center your pot or pan on the desired heating zone.
  3. Turn On: Rotate the corresponding temperature control knob clockwise to the desired heat setting. The indicator light for that burner will illuminate, signifying that the heating element is active.
  4. Adjust Temperature: Adjust the knob to increase or decrease the heat as needed for your cooking. The cooktop offers variable heat control.
  5. Monitor Cooking: Observe your food as it cooks. The infrared technology provides consistent and even heat.
  6. Turn Off: After cooking, turn the temperature control knob counter-clockwise to the "OFF" position. The indicator light will turn off.
  7. Cool Down: Allow the cooktop to cool completely before cleaning or moving. The ceramic surface will retain heat for some time after being turned off.
