Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and proper functioning of your APEXEL JJ025 Flexible Phone Tripod, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the tripod with a soft, dry cloth after each use to remove dust and dirt. For stubborn grime, use a slightly damp cloth and then dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
  • Storage: Store the tripod in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the legs are straightened or gently folded to prevent prolonged stress on the flexible joints.
  • Joints and Screws: Periodically check all screws and joints for tightness. Tighten any loose components gently to prevent wobbling. Do not overtighten.
  • Remote Control Battery: If the wireless remote control is not used for an extended period, consider removing its battery to prevent leakage.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your APEXEL JJ025 Flexible Phone Tripod, please refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Device Not Stable on Tripod:
    • Ensure the phone clip or camera is securely screwed onto the 1/4-inch mount.
    • Verify that the phone is properly seated and clamped within the phone clip.
    • Adjust the tripod legs to create a wider, more stable base, especially on uneven surfaces.
    • Check the weight of your device; ensure it does not exceed the tripod's maximum load capacity (6.6 lbs).
  • Wireless Remote Control Not Connecting:
    • Make sure the remote control is turned on and its battery is not depleted.
    • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
    • Try unpairing and re-pairing the remote control in your phone's Bluetooth settings.
    • Ensure the remote is within the effective control distance (up to 10m/30ft).
    • The remote is compatible with iOS and Android phones.
  • Flexible Legs Losing Rigidity:
    • While the legs are designed for repeated bending, excessive force or continuous extreme bending can affect their long-term rigidity. Avoid over-bending.
    • Ensure the foam covering is intact to protect the inner core.

If these steps do not resolve your issue, please contact APEXEL customer support for further assistance.
