4.2. Basic Settings Configuration
- Power On: Slide the power switch from "OFF" to "TEST" to enter the preview interface and access settings.
- Format SD Card: It is crucial to format the SD card before first use. Navigate to the "MENU" -> "Memory Card Format" option and confirm to format. This ensures optimal performance and prevents data corruption.
- Set Date & Time: Go to "MENU" -> "Date & Time" to set the correct date and time. This is important for accurate timestamps on your recordings.
- Select Mode: Navigate to "MENU" -> "Mode". "Motion Detection" mode is recommended for general use to save storage and power. You can also choose "Photo", "Video", or "Photo+Video".
- Adjust Photo/Video Resolution: In "MENU", select "Photo Resolution" (recommended 48MP) and "Video Resolution" (recommended 1296P). Higher resolutions provide better quality but consume more storage.
- Set Video Length: For "Video" or "Photo+Video" modes, set the "Video Length" (recording duration). A length of 10 seconds is recommended to conserve power.
- Configure Photo Burst: If using "Photo" or "Photo+Video" mode, set "Photo Burst" (e.g., 3P for 3 photos per trigger).
- PIR Sensitivity: Adjust "PIR Sensitivity" (Low/Middle/High) based on ambient temperature. Use "Low/Middle" in high temperatures and "High" in low temperatures to avoid false triggers.
- Motion Filter: Turn "Motion Filter" ON to reduce false triggers by ending recording early if no motion is detected within the monitored area.
- Wi-Fi LED: Turn "Wi-Fi LED" OFF to prevent the red light from continuously flashing after connecting to the app, ensuring stealth.
- Loop Record: Turn "Loop Record" ON to automatically overwrite the oldest videos/pictures when the SD card is full.
- Motion Test: Perform a "Motion Test" by waving your hand in front of the PIR sensor. If the red LED blinks and the trigger count increases, the PIR is working correctly.
