IKRA ICC 2/2035 Cordless Chainsaw

User Manual

1. Important Safety Information

Always read and understand all safety warnings and instructions before operating the chainsaw. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.

  • Personal Protective Equipment: Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, sturdy footwear, and protective clothing when operating the chainsaw.
  • Chain Brake: The chainsaw is equipped with an electric chain brake and a mechanical kickback brake. Ensure these are functioning correctly before each use. The electric brake automatically stops the chain when the trigger is released. The mechanical brake activates upon sudden kickback.
  • Hand Guard: A hand guard is provided to protect your hand from contact with the chain and to activate the chain brake in case of kickback.
  • Chain Catcher Bolt: This safety feature is designed to intercept the chain if it breaks, preventing injury.
  • Overload Indicator: The LED overload indicator will illuminate orange if the tool is being overloaded. Reduce pressure immediately to prevent damage to the motor and gears.
  • Secure Grip: Always maintain a firm grip with both hands on the ergonomic handles. The soft grip coating helps prevent hand slippage.
  • Work Area: Ensure your work area is clear of obstacles and bystanders. Do not operate the chainsaw in wet conditions.

3.2 Cutting Techniques

  • The chainsaw is suitable for pruning, felling small trees, and cutting firewood.
  • Use the front bail handle for comfortable and safe cutting in both horizontal and vertical orientations.
  • Utilize the metal bucking spike to pivot the chainsaw against the wood, providing leverage and control during cutting. This helps prevent uncontrolled tilting and allows for targeted pressure.
  • The typical battery runtime is approximately 25 minutes, depending on the load.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Chain Lubrication

The chainsaw features automatic chain lubrication. Regularly check the oil level via the sight glass and refill as needed to ensure continuous lubrication. Proper lubrication is crucial for safe operation and extends the life of the chain and guide bar.

4.2 Chain Sharpening

A sharp chain is essential for efficient and safe cutting. Sharpen the chain regularly or replace it when dull. Refer to the OREGON chain specifications for proper sharpening angles and tools.

4.3 Cleaning

After each use, clean the chainsaw to remove sawdust, debris, and resin. Ensure the air vents are clear to prevent overheating. Always remove the batteries before cleaning.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Overload Indicator

The chainsaw is equipped with an LED overload indicator. If the indicator illuminates orange during operation, it means you are applying too much pressure, which can overload the motor. Immediately reduce the pressure on the guide bar. The machine will not stop if pressure is reduced promptly, helping to protect the motor and gears and extend the chainsaw's lifespan.

5.2 Common Issues

  • Chainsaw not starting: Ensure batteries are fully charged and properly inserted. Check that the safety switch and trigger are engaged correctly.
  • Chain not moving: Check chain tension. Ensure the chain brake is disengaged. Verify there are no obstructions.
  • Poor cutting performance: The chain may be dull or improperly tensioned. Sharpen or replace the chain and adjust tension as needed. Ensure sufficient chain oil.
