1. Safety Information

Please read all instructions carefully before using this humidifier. Keep this manual for future reference.

• General Safety: Always operate the device on a smooth, stable surface.
• Mist Nozzles: Do not cover the mist nozzles during operation.
• Essential Oils: DO NOT put essential oil directly into the water tank. This will damage the humidifier and may cause it to leak. Use the dedicated aromatherapy tray.
• Hot Water Vapor: Exercise caution as hot water vapor may be emitted, especially when using the warm mist function.
• Power: Always unplug the humidifier before cleaning or refilling.

The Elechomes SH8830 ultrasonic humidifier is designed for modern homes, offering smart, quiet, and effective humidification. It features a large 6.5-liter capacity, providing up to 72 hours of continuous operation.

Key components include:

• Head Cover: Top cover of the humidifier.
• Mist Outlet: Where the mist is dispersed.
• Water Tank: 6.5L capacity for water storage.
• Magnetic Switch: Safety mechanism for tank detection.
• Water Level Sensor: Detects low water levels for auto shut-off.
• Atomizing Plate: Generates ultrasonic vibrations for mist production.
• Float Ball: Part of the water level sensing mechanism.

3. Setup

Before first use, ensure all packaging materials are removed and the humidifier is placed on a stable, flat surface.

3.1 Filling the Water Tank

The SH8830 features a convenient top-fill design, eliminating the need to remove the water tank for refills.

1. Remove the top cover of the humidifier.
2. Pour clean, cool tap water directly into the water filling nozzle until it reaches the MAX line. Do not overfill.
3. Replace the top cover securely.

3.2 Using the Aromatherapy Tray

For aromatherapy benefits, add essential oils to the dedicated tray, not directly into the water tank.

1. Locate the aromatherapy box on the side of the humidifier.
2. Pull out the tray.
3. Add a few drops of your preferred essential oil onto the sponge pad inside the tray.
4. Slide the tray back into the humidifier.

4. Operating Instructions

The Elechomes SH8830 offers various modes and settings for optimal comfort.

4.1 Control Panel and Remote Control

The humidifier can be operated using the touch control panel on the front or the included remote control.

• Power On/Off: Press the power button to turn the unit on or off.
• Mist Level: Adjust mist output up to 700 ml/h. The 360-degree swivel nozzle allows for even mist distribution in rooms up to 861 square feet.
• Warm/Cool Mist: Select between warm and cool mist options.
• Humidity Setting: Customize humidity levels from 30-90%. The built-in humidistat and intelligent constant humidity system can regulate humidity between 55%-68% in Auto Mode.
• Timer: Set the operating time from 1 to 12 hours.
• Auto Mode: Automatically adjusts mist output to maintain a comfortable humidity level.
• Sleep Mode: Operates with minimal noise (20dB) for a quiet night's sleep.
• Child Lock: Prevents accidental changes to settings.

5. Maintenance

Regular cleaning is essential to maintain optimal performance and hygiene of your humidifier. A cleaning brush is included for convenience.

5.1 Cleaning Procedure

1. Unplug the Machine: Always unplug the humidifier from the power outlet before cleaning.
2. Disassemble: Open the lid and carefully take out the inner parts: the water tank, air channel, and anti-scale pad.
3. Clean Water Tank: Wipe the water tank with a soft cloth. For stubborn deposits, you can wash the parts under tap water or use a mixture of vinegar and soap water.
4. Clean Air Channel: Disassemble the air channel (it consists of four parts). Use the provided brush to clean all sections. You can also wash these parts under tap water.
5. Clean Bottom Parts: Remove the float ball and take out the anti-scale plate. Use the brush and a cloth to clean the bottom of the machine. Do not allow water into the air outlet opening.
6. Rinse and Dry: Pour out any remaining water and thoroughly rinse all cleaned parts. Ensure all components are completely dry before reassembly.
7. Reassemble: Install the float ball, anti-scale pad, air channel, water tank, and finally the lid.

6. Troubleshooting

The Elechomes SH8830 is designed with worry-free safety features, including a double-sealing system to prevent leaks and auto shut-off for low water levels or tank removal. However, if you encounter any issues, consider the following:

• No Mist/Low Mist: Check if the water tank is full and properly seated. Ensure the mist nozzle is not blocked.
• Unusual Noise: Verify the humidifier is on a flat, stable surface. Check for any foreign objects in the water tank or air channel.
• Leaking: While the humidifier features a double-sealing system, ensure all components are correctly assembled after cleaning or refilling. Avoid adding essential oils directly to the water tank. If persistent leaking occurs, contact customer support.
• Display Issues: If the LED display is too bright in a dark room, consider using the sleep mode which dims the display.
