2. Important Safety Information
Please read all safety instructions before operating the appliance. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.
- CAUTION: HOT SURFACE. The exterior surfaces of the urn become hot during operation. Avoid direct contact. Use handles for carrying.
- Do not immerse the base, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
- Ensure the appliance is placed on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface, away from edges.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool completely before handling parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
- Use only attachments and accessories recommended by the manufacturer.

4. Setup Instructions
- Unpack and Inspect: Carefully remove all packaging materials. Inspect the urn for any damage.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the lid, percolator stem, and filter basket in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the interior and exterior of the urn body with a damp cloth.
- Positioning: Place the urn on a dry, stable, heat-resistant surface. Ensure adequate clearance around the unit for ventilation.
- Assemble Internal Components: Insert the percolator stem into the center hole at the bottom of the urn. Place the filter basket onto the percolator stem.
- Add Water: Fill the urn with cold water up to the desired level, observing the internal markings. Do not exceed the 'MAX' fill line.
- Add Coffee Grounds: Add your desired amount of coarse to medium-ground coffee directly into the filter basket. No paper filter is needed.
- Secure Lid: Place the lid onto the urn and twist to lock it securely in place.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Brewing Coffee
- Plug In: Plug the power cord into a standard 110-120V AC electrical outlet.
- Turn On: Flip the power switch to the 'ON' position. The 'Heating' indicator light (red) will illuminate, signifying that the brewing process has begun.
- Brewing Cycle: The brewing process typically takes 30-40 minutes for a full urn. During this time, water will percolate through the coffee grounds.
- Keep Warm: Once brewing is complete, the 'Heating' light will turn off, and the 'Keep Warm' indicator light (orange) will illuminate. The urn will automatically maintain the coffee at an optimal serving temperature.
5.2. Dispensing Coffee/Hot Water
To dispense, place a cup under the spigot. Press the spigot lever back with the cup for a single serving, or lift the lever up for continuous flow. Release or push down the lever to stop dispensing.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your appliance.
- Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the urn from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Remove Components: Remove the lid, filter basket, and percolator stem. Dispose of used coffee grounds.
- Wash Removable Parts: Wash the lid, percolator stem, and filter basket in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. These parts are not dishwasher safe.
- Clean Urn Interior: Wipe the interior of the urn body with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mild non-abrasive cleaner. Rinse thoroughly to remove any soap residue.
- Clean Urn Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the urn with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may damage the stainless steel finish.
- Spigot Cleaning: Ensure the spigot is clean and free of any blockages.
- Storage: Store the clean and dry urn in a cool, dry place.
