Setup

Powering the Device

The device can be powered in two ways:

  1. Install 4 AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment.
  2. Connect the device to a power source or computer using the provided USB cable.

Initial Power On

Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the device. The HD color screen will display the main menu.

Operating Instructions

Basic Card Reading and Writing

This section outlines the general procedure for reading and writing cards.

  1. Power on the device.
  2. Navigate to the "Smart Card Copy" or "ID/IC Card" function using the arrow keys and OK button.
  3. Place the source card (the card you want to copy) on the sensing area of the device.
  4. Press the READ button. The device will scan for the card's frequency and data.
  5. Once the card is read successfully, remove the source card.
  6. Place a compatible rewritable blank card (e.g., UID card for 13.56MHz, T5577 tag for 125KHz) on the sensing area.
  7. Press the WRITE button to transfer the data to the blank card.
  8. A "Write card success!" message will confirm the operation.

Note: The device supports automatic stepless full frequency sweep to detect various card frequencies.

Decoding Encrypted IC Cards (PC Connection Required)

For encrypted IC cards, the device requires connection to a computer for decoding.

  1. Connect the RFID Copier to your computer using the USB cable.
  2. The device will enter decoding mode.
  3. On your computer, open the provided decoding software (e.g., "NewCopy 2018 smart card Copy machine").
  4. Place the encrypted IC card on the device's sensing area.
  5. Follow the software prompts to initiate the decoding process. The software will display progress, indicating successful decoding with green squares.
  6. Once decoding is successful, the device will prompt you to place a copy card and press the WRITE button.
  7. Place a compatible rewritable blank card on the device and press WRITE.

Important: The software is designed for legitimate use. If your computer's security software flags it, it might be a false positive. Ensure you download software only from trusted sources.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions

  • Device not powering on:
    • Check if AAA batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient charge.
    • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to a power source or computer.
  • Card not reading:
    • Ensure the card is placed correctly on the sensing area.
    • Verify the card type and frequency are supported by the device.
    • Some cards may be damaged or incompatible. Try another card if possible.
  • "IC card sector is encrypted" message:
    • This indicates the card is encrypted. Connect the device to a computer and use the decoding software to proceed.
  • Software issues/virus warnings:
    • The manufacturer states the software does not contain viruses. If your antivirus flags it, it might be a false positive. Ensure you download the software from the official source.
