Bracing for Rear-Facing Installation
When installing the Radian 3R in a rear-facing position, bracing refers to the car seat touching the vehicle seat in front of it. Diono allows bracing, but it is essential to check your vehicle's manual (typically in the airbag section) to ensure it does not prohibit any contact or pressure on the vehicle seat, which could interfere with airbag sensors. If your vehicle manual does not prohibit it, bracing is acceptable. Ensure there is enough space to fit a pencil between the car seat and the vehicle seat to account for the child's weight.

LATCH System Installation
The SuperLATCH system (UAS Compatible) simplifies installation. For rear-facing, extend the LATCH/UAS strap, place the car seat in the back seat, slide the strap through the rear-facing belt path, and attach the connectors to the vehicle's LATCH anchors. Tighten the strap by pressing down firmly in the center of the car seat while pulling the strap. For forward-facing, you can use the LATCH system and the top tether. Ensure the car seat is installed securely with no more than 1 inch of movement side-to-side or front-to-back at the belt path.

Operating Instructions
Harness Adjustment
The 5-point harness system is adjustable to accommodate your child's growth. Ensure the harness straps are at or below the child's shoulders for rear-facing and at or above the child's shoulders for forward-facing. The buckle is designed for easy use, and the included foam harness pads prevent rubbing against the child's neck.
Booster Mode
Once your child meets the weight and height requirements for booster mode, the internal harness can be stored, and the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt can be used with the car seat. The car seat's design ensures proper belt positioning for older children.
Maintenance
- Covers: Machine wash cold and line dry.
- Shell and Components: Spot clean with mild soap and water.
- Regularly inspect the car seat for any signs of wear or damage to the straps, buckles, or frame.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with installation or usage, first consult the detailed instruction manual provided with your car seat. Ensure all straps are correctly routed and tightened, and that the car seat does not move more than 1 inch at the belt path. For specific concerns, refer to the manufacturer's support resources.
