1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Zeadio FM Headphone Radio, Model RDO-FA66-02. This device combines a comfortable headset with an integrated FM radio receiver, allowing you to enjoy your favorite FM programs on the go. It also features a foldable design for portability and can function as a wired headset with an auxiliary cable (not included).

2. Setup

2.1 Battery Installation

The Zeadio FM Headphone Radio requires two (2) AA batteries for operation. Locate the battery compartment on one of the earcups, open it, insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators (+/-), and close the compartment securely.

2.2 Adjusting Fit and Antenna

Adjust the telescopic headband to ensure a comfortable and secure fit on your head. For optimal FM reception, extend the integrated antenna fully.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Controls Overview

  • POWER: Press to turn the radio on or off.
  • TUN- / TUN+: Press to manually tune the FM frequency down or up.
  • VOL- / VOL+: Press to decrease or increase the volume level.
  • S/M: Press to switch between stereo and mono reception modes.
  • MEM: Press to save the current station to a memory preset.
  • M1, M2, M3, etc.: Press to recall a saved memory preset.

3.2 Tuning FM Radio

  1. Press the POWER button to turn on the radio.
  2. Extend the antenna for best reception.
  3. Use the TUN- or TUN+ buttons to scan for desired FM stations within the 50-108MHz frequency range.
  4. Adjust the volume using VOL- or VOL+.

3.3 Saving and Recalling Presets

The radio supports storing up to 5 FM stations in memory for quick access.

  1. Tune to the desired FM station.
  2. Press the MEM button. The display may flash, indicating it's ready to save.
  3. Press one of the memory buttons (e.g., M1, M2) to save the station to that slot.
  4. To recall a saved station, simply press the corresponding memory button (e.g., M1).

3.4 Using as a Wired Headset

The Zeadio FM Headphone Radio can also function as a wired headset. Connect a standard 3.5mm auxiliary audio cable (not included) from your smartphone, PC, tablet, or other audio device to the AUX input port on the headphone.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

Wipe the headphones with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as these may damage the device.

4.2 Storage

The headphones feature a foldable design for convenient storage and transport. Fold them carefully to prevent damage when not in use or when traveling.

5. Troubleshooting

  • No Power: Ensure that two fresh AA batteries are correctly installed in the battery compartment with the correct polarity.
  • Poor FM Reception: Fully extend the antenna. Try moving to a different location, especially outdoors or near a window, to improve signal strength. Avoid areas with strong electromagnetic interference.
  • No Sound: Check the volume level using the VOL+ button. If using as a wired headset, ensure the auxiliary cable is fully inserted into both the headphone and the audio source, and that the audio source's volume is turned up.
  • Buttons Unresponsive: Remove and reinsert the batteries to perform a soft reset. If the issue persists, replace the batteries with new ones.
