Safety Information

What's in the Box

Your Thule Evo Flush Rail Foot Pack includes:

Note: Load bars and a vehicle-specific fit kit are essential for a complete roof rack system and are sold separately. Please consult the official Thule Buyer's Guide on the Thule website to determine the correct fit kit and load bars for your specific vehicle model.

Setup and Installation

The Thule Evo Flush Rail Foot Pack is designed for straightforward installation onto vehicles equipped with flush railings. A complete installation requires the foot pack, compatible Thule load bars (e.g., Thule WingBar Evo, Thule AeroBlade, Thule SquareBar, Thule ProBar), and a vehicle-specific fit kit, all sold separately.

  1. Prepare Your Vehicle: Ensure your vehicle's flush railings are clean and free from debris. Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual for any specific instructions regarding roof rack installation points.

  2. Assemble Foot Pack and Load Bars: Attach the Thule Evo Flush Rail Feet to your chosen Thule load bars according to the instructions provided with the load bars and your vehicle-specific fit kit. The fit kit will specify the correct measurements and positioning for the feet on the load bars, as well as the overall placement on your vehicle.

  3. Position the Rack: Carefully place the assembled roof rack system onto your vehicle's flush railings. Align it precisely with the measurements and markings specified in your vehicle-specific fit kit. Accurate positioning is crucial for safety and optimal performance.

  4. Secure the Feet: Use the provided ergonomic torque limiter key to tighten the foot pack to the flush railings. Turn the key until it clicks, which indicates that the rack is safely and properly secured to your vehicle. This mechanism prevents overtightening and ensures a firm, consistent grip.

  5. Install Locks (Optional): For added security and to deter theft, the foot pack can be secured to your vehicle with Thule One-Key locks (sold separately). Follow the instructions provided with the lock cylinders for installation.

  6. Final Check: Before driving, gently pull and push on all load bars and feet to ensure they are firmly attached and do not move. Re-check all connections after the first few miles of driving and periodically thereafter.

Operation

Once installed, your Thule Evo Flush Rail Roof Rack System is ready to transport various gear. Always adhere to the maximum load capacity of 165 lbs (75 kg) and ensure items are securely fastened to the load bars using appropriate Thule accessories (e.g., cargo boxes, bike carriers, ski carriers), which are sold separately. Distribute weight evenly across the load bars and avoid placing excessively heavy items on one side. Regularly check the security of your load during transit.

Maintenance

Troubleshooting

Rack does not fit or seems incomplete:

The Thule Evo Flush Rail Foot Pack requires a separate vehicle-specific fit kit and compatible load bars. Many installation issues arise from not having the correct fit kit for your vehicle. Please verify your vehicle's compatibility and ensure you have all necessary components by consulting the official Thule Buyer's Guide on their website.

Excessive wind noise:

Minor wind noise is normal with any roof rack system. Ensure load bars are correctly positioned according to the fit kit instructions and all components are tightly secured. Some load bar designs (e.g., Thule WingBar Evo) are engineered to minimize noise. Adjusting the position of the bars slightly forward or backward within the recommended range may also help.

Difficulty tightening the feet:

Ensure the foot pack is correctly seated and aligned on the flush railing. The ergonomic torque limiter key is designed to click when the correct tightness is achieved. Do not force it beyond this point, as overtightening can damage the components or your vehicle's railings.

Missing parts from the box:

Refer to the "What's in the Box" section of this manual. If any listed components are missing from your foot pack packaging upon receipt, please contact Thule customer support or your retailer immediately.
