Setup
- Unpack the Shredder: Carefully remove the shredder from its packaging.
- Install Casters (Optional): If not pre-installed, attach the four universal casters to the bottom of the shredder for easy mobility. Ensure the front casters are locked once positioned.
- Position the Shredder: Place the shredder on a flat, stable surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for ventilation and access to the power outlet.
- Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
- Power On: Locate the main power switch, usually on the back or side of the unit, and switch it to the "ON" position.
Operating Instructions
1. Basic Shredding
- Ensure the shredder is plugged in and the main power switch is ON.
- Set the function switch to "AUTO". The shredder is now in standby mode.
- For Paper: Insert up to 15 sheets of paper (A4 size, 70gsm) into the paper entry slot. The shredder will automatically start and stop once shredding is complete.
- For Credit Cards/Staples/Clips: Insert one credit card or a small paper clip/staple into the designated entry slot (if separate) or the main paper entry slot. The shredder will process it automatically.

Image: The shredder is designed for continuous operation for up to 30 minutes, capable of shredding approximately 2400 sheets of A4 paper in a single session before requiring a cool-down period.
2. Anti-Jam System
The shredder is equipped with an automatic anti-jam system:
- If too much paper is inserted, the shredder will automatically reverse to clear the jam.
- If a jam occurs, you can manually use the "REV" (Reverse) function to clear the paper. Once cleared, switch back to "AUTO" or "FWD" to resume shredding.

Image: This diagram shows the automatic anti-jam mechanism, featuring auto-start for shredding and manual reverse to clear paper overloads, preventing frustrating paper jams.
3. Overheating and Overload Protection
- Overheating: If the shredder operates continuously beyond its maximum running time (30 minutes) or becomes too hot, the overheating protection system will activate, and the unit will automatically shut off. The "Overheat" indicator (red) will illuminate. Allow the shredder to cool down for approximately 40-60 minutes before resuming operation.
- Overload: If the shredder is overloaded with too many sheets, the "Overload" indicator (flashing) will activate, and the shredder may stop. Remove the excess paper and use the "REV" function to clear any remaining paper before attempting to shred again.
Maintenance
1. Emptying the Wastebasket
- The shredder features a 5.3-gallon (20-liter) pull-out wastebasket with a transparent window. Monitor the window to see when the basket is full.
- When full, unplug the shredder from the power outlet.
- Pull out the wastebasket from the front of the unit.
- Empty the shredded material into a trash receptacle.
- Slide the wastebasket back into the unit until it clicks securely into place.
- Plug the shredder back in.

- Blade Oiling (Recommended): To maintain optimal performance and extend the life of the shredder blades, oil them regularly (e.g., after every 30 minutes of continuous shredding or once a month with light use).
