HAKENO Doorway Pull Up Bar Instruction Manual
Model: 122
1. Important Safety Information
Read all instructions carefully before installation and use. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury or damage to property.
- Weight Limit: Do not exceed the maximum weight recommendation of 500 pounds.
- Door Frame Compatibility: Ensure the pull-up bar is installed on a sturdy, solid door frame. Avoid using on hollow door frames, glass doors, or weak/damaged frames. Compatible surfaces include cement, security doors, solid wooden doors, and corridors.
- Secure Installation: Always ensure the bar is securely installed and fully tightened with the locking mechanism engaged before each use. Test the bar's stability by applying your full weight gradually before performing exercises.
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check the bar for any signs of wear, damage, or loosening. Re-tighten if necessary.
- Door Frame Protection: While designed with anti-skid pads to minimize marks, prolonged or improper use may still cause minor indentations or paint damage on soft wooden frames. Consider additional protective measures if concerned.
- Children: Keep children away from the pull-up bar unless supervised by an adult. Adjust height for children as needed.

3. Setup and Installation
The HAKENO Pull Up Bar is designed for easy, drill-free installation using a tension-based system. Follow these steps for secure setup:
- Prepare the Bar: Ensure the locking mechanism is disengaged to allow the bar to extend.
- Position the Bar: Place the pull-up bar between your chosen door frame. Use the integrated bubble level to ensure the bar is perfectly horizontal.
- Extend the Bar: Grab the middle position of the bar and rotate it. Rotate in the direction indicated by the 'EXTEND' arrow until the anti-skid pads firmly touch both sides of the door frame.
- Apply Pressure: Continue rotating the bar to extend it further, creating strong pressure against the door frame. The harder you pull, the more stable it becomes. Ensure sufficient pressure to hold your weight.
- Engage Locking Mechanism: Once the desired tension is achieved, engage the stainless steel locking mechanism to prevent the bar from rotating and loosening during use.
- Test Stability: Before full use, carefully test the bar's stability by applying your weight gradually. Ensure there is no movement or slippage.

To ensure the longevity and safe operation of your HAKENO Pull Up Bar, regular maintenance is recommended:
- Cleanliness: Wipe down the bar and grips with a damp cloth after each use to remove sweat and dirt. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Tightness Check: Before every workout, verify that the bar is still tightly secured within the door frame and the locking mechanism is engaged. Re-tighten if any looseness is detected.
- Wear and Tear: Inspect the foam grips and anti-skid pads for any signs of wear, tears, or damage. Replace components if they show significant deterioration.
- Storage: If not in regular use, the bar can be easily removed and stored in a dry place to prevent rust or damage.
6. Troubleshooting
- Bar is Slipping:
- Ensure the bar is fully extended and sufficient tension is applied against the door frame.
- Verify the locking mechanism is engaged.
- Check if the door frame surface is clean and dry.
- Confirm the door frame is solid and capable of supporting the tension.
- Door Frame Damage:
- Ensure the bar is installed on a sturdy, solid door frame as recommended.
- The anti-skid pads are designed to minimize damage, but soft wood frames may still show minor marks. Consider additional padding if necessary.
- Difficulty Adjusting Length:
- Ensure the locking mechanism is fully disengaged before attempting to rotate and adjust the bar's length.
