4. Setup and Charging

Before first use, ensure your NEXPOW Jump Starter is fully charged.

4.1 Initial Charge

Use the provided USB Type-C cable to charge the jump starter. It can be charged via a wall adapter (not included) or a car charger. A full charge typically takes about 6 hours. The LED indicator lights will show the charging progress (0-25%, 26-50%, 51-75%, 76-100%).

4.2 Portable Power Bank Function

The jump starter features dual USB outputs (USB Output 1: 5V/3A, 9V/2A, 15V/1.5A; USB Output 2: 5V-2.1A) for quick charging of various USB devices like phones and tablets. Simply connect your device to the appropriate USB port.

4.3 12V/10A DC Output

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Jump Starting Your Vehicle

Follow these steps to safely jump-start your vehicle:

  1. Ensure the jump starter is adequately charged.
  2. Insert the jumper cable into the jump starter's EC5 output port.
  3. Connect the red (+) clamp to the positive (+) terminal of your vehicle's battery and the black (-) clamp to the negative (-) terminal.
  4. Once connected, the intelligent clamp will indicate readiness.
  5. Start your car engine.
  6. Once the engine starts, immediately remove the jumper cables from the car battery, then disconnect from the jump starter.

5.2 LED Lighting Modes

The NEXPOW Jump Starter is equipped with a bright LED flashlight with four modes:

  • Spotlight: Long press the LED button for 2 seconds to activate.
  • Strobe: Short press the LED button to cycle to Strobe mode.
  • SOS: Short press the LED button again to cycle to SOS mode.
  • Red Blue Warning: Short press the LED button once more for the alternating red and blue warning light.
