4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Display Configurations
The docking station supports various display modes depending on your operating system.
For Windows Systems:
Windows systems support both Mirror Display and Extend Mode, allowing for triple display setups.

Figure 5: Triple display options for Windows laptops, including mirror and extended modes.
- Mirror Display: All connected external monitors will show the same content as your laptop screen.
- Extend Mode: Each connected external monitor can display different content, extending your desktop workspace.
- Triple Display: You can achieve a triple display setup (laptop screen + two external monitors or three external monitors) with different content on each.
Note: The VGA port offers a maximum resolution of 1080P. For higher resolutions, HDMI ports are preferred. Only three monitors will work at the same time, even if your laptop is extended by three other monitors.
For macOS Systems:
macOS laptops only support SST (Single Stream Transport) mode, meaning all external monitors will display the same content.

Figure 6: Display options for MacBooks, showing extended and mirror modes where external displays mirror each other.
- Extend Mode: Your laptop screen can be extended to the external monitors, but all external monitors will mirror each other.
- Mirror Display: All connected external monitors will show the same content as your laptop screen.
Note: For best image output, it is recommended to use two external monitors instead of three with macOS. The host USB-C port on your device must support DisplayPort Alt Mode.
4.2 Data Transfer and Charging
- USB 3.0 Ports: Connect high-speed devices like external SSDs or USB 3.0 flash drives for data transfer up to 5Gbps.
- USB 2.0 Ports: Ideal for connecting peripherals like keyboards, mice, or printers.
- SD/TF Card Readers: Insert your memory cards for quick data access and transfer.
- Power Delivery (PD): The USB-C PD port allows you to charge your laptop while using the hub, supporting up to 100W pass-through charging.

5. Maintenance and Care
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your QGeeM 12-in-1 USB C Hub, please follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the surface of the hub. Avoid using liquid cleaners, aerosols, or abrasive solvents.
- Storage: Store the hub in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Handling: Avoid dropping or subjecting the hub to strong impacts. Do not bend or pull the connected cables excessively.
- Ventilation: Ensure the hub is placed in an area with adequate ventilation to prevent overheating, especially during prolonged use with multiple connected devices.
- Disconnecting: Always disconnect the hub from your laptop and power source when not in use for extended periods.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your QGeeM 12-in-1 USB C Hub, please refer to the following common solutions:
- No Display Output:
- Ensure your laptop's USB-C port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode. Not all USB-C ports have this capability.
- Check all cable connections (USB-C from hub to laptop, HDMI/VGA from hub to monitor).
- Try connecting a single monitor first to isolate the issue.
- Restart your laptop and reconnect the hub.
- Display Resolution Issues (Windows):
- For Windows systems, 4K resolution is typically achieved when only a single HDMI port is connected. If dual or triple displays are used, the resolution may default to 1080P.
- Ensure your monitors and HDMI/VGA cables support the desired resolution.
- External Monitors Mirroring (macOS):
- This is expected behavior for macOS. All external monitors connected via the hub will display the same content (SST mode).
- USB Devices Not Recognized:
- Ensure the hub is receiving sufficient power. Connect your laptop's power adapter to the hub's PD port.
- Try connecting the USB device directly to your laptop to confirm it functions.
- Disconnect and reconnect the USB device to the hub.
- Slow Ethernet Speed:
- Check your Ethernet cable and router/modem connection.
- Ensure your network drivers on your laptop are up to date.
