6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
Regularly clean your smartwatch and strap to prevent skin irritation and maintain device hygiene. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the device. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
6.2 Battery Care
To maximize battery lifespan, avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures. Charge the device fully when prompted by low battery warnings. While the battery life is long, consistent deep discharges can reduce its overall capacity over time.
6.3 Water Resistance Precautions
While water-resistant, avoid pressing buttons underwater or exposing the watch to hot water, steam, or high-velocity water. After exposure to saltwater, rinse the watch with fresh water and dry it thoroughly.
7. Troubleshooting
- Watch not turning on: Ensure the watch is fully charged. Connect it to the charging pod and a power source for at least 30 minutes.
- Pairing issues: If the watch fails to pair with the Zepp App, try the following:
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
- Restart both your smartphone and the smartwatch.
- In your phone's Bluetooth settings, forget any previously paired Amazfit devices.
- Within the Zepp App, un-pair and re-pair the watch.
- Syncing issues: If data is not syncing to the app, ensure the watch is connected via Bluetooth and the Zepp App is running in the background. Check for app updates.
- Inaccurate tracking (steps, sleep): While the watch provides general tracking, external factors can influence accuracy. Ensure the watch is worn snugly on the wrist. For sleep tracking, ensure the watch is worn throughout the night.
- Notifications not appearing: Verify that notifications are enabled in both your phone's system settings and within the Zepp App for the desired applications. Ensure the watch is connected to your phone.
