Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your range hood, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Fan Not Operating:
- Check if the unit is properly plugged in or hardwired.
- Verify that the circuit breaker has not tripped.
- Ensure the fan speed switch is in an 'ON' position.
- Lights Not Working:
- Confirm the light switch is in the 'ON' position.
- Check if the light bulbs are securely screwed in or properly seated.
- Replace burnt-out bulbs with the recommended type (MR16 or PAR16 halogen).
- Poor Airflow/Odor Removal:
- Clean the micro-mesh filters; clogged filters reduce efficiency.
- For non-ducted installations, ensure charcoal filters are installed and not saturated. Replace charcoal filters regularly.
- Check for obstructions in the ductwork (if ducted).
- Excessive Noise:
- Ensure the filters are correctly installed and not vibrating.
- Check for loose screws or components.
- Verify that the ductwork (if ducted) is properly secured and free of kinks.
