Operating Instructions

Preparing the Crepe Pan

  1. Preheating: Plug in the appliance. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the pan is heating. Allow the pan to preheat for approximately 5-7 minutes until the indicator light turns off, indicating it has reached the optimal cooking temperature.
  2. Light Oiling (Optional): Although the pan has a non-stick coating, you may lightly brush a small amount of cooking oil onto each cooking well for the first batch or if desired for flavor. Use a heat-resistant silicone brush.

Making Crepes/Pancakes

  1. Pouring Batter: Once preheated, carefully pour approximately 2-3 tablespoons of crepe or pancake batter into the center of each cooking well. Do not overfill.
  2. Cooking Time: Cook for 1-2 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Cooking time may vary depending on batter consistency and desired crispness.
  3. Flipping: Use a non-metallic spatula to gently flip the crepes/pancakes.
  4. Removing: Once cooked, remove the crepes/pancakes using a non-metallic utensil. Place them on a plate and repeat the process with the remaining batter.

Temperature Control

The Techwood TCP-800 features automatic temperature control. The indicator light will cycle on and off during operation, maintaining the optimal cooking temperature. This ensures consistent heat distribution for even cooking.
