Important Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always follow these basic safety precautions:

Setup and Assembly

The Sona 18-inch Power Stand Fan requires minimal assembly. Follow these steps:

  1. Base Assembly: Place the heavy base on a flat, stable surface. Insert the lower stand pole into the base and secure it firmly using the provided screws or locking mechanism.
  2. Adjusting Height: Loosen the height adjustment knob on the stand pole. Extend the upper stand pole to the desired height and tighten the knob securely.
  3. Motor Unit Attachment: Attach the motor unit to the top of the upper stand pole. Ensure it is securely fastened.
  4. Rear Grille and Blade Installation:
    • Remove the spinner cap and retaining nut from the motor shaft.
    • Place the rear grille onto the motor unit, aligning the mounting holes. Secure it with the retaining nut.
    • Slide the fan blade onto the motor shaft, ensuring it is correctly oriented and seated.
    • Secure the fan blade with the spinner cap, turning it clockwise until tight.
  5. Front Grille Attachment: Place the front grille over the rear grille, aligning the clips or securing ring. Fasten the grilles together securely.

Operating Instructions

Once assembled, your Sona Power Stand Fan is ready for use.

  1. Power Connection: Plug the fan's power cord into a standard 220-240V~ 50/60Hz electrical outlet.
  2. Speed Selection: The fan features a 3-speed rotary switch. Turn the knob to select your desired fan speed:
    • "0" - Off
    • "1" - Low Speed
    • "2" - Medium Speed
    • "3" - High Speed
  3. Oscillation Function: To activate the left-right oscillating function, press down the oscillation knob located on top of the motor housing. To stop oscillation, pull the knob up.
  4. Tilt Adjustment: The fan head can be tilted up or down to direct airflow. Loosen the tilt adjustment knob on the side of the motor unit, adjust the angle, and then tighten the knob securely.

Maintenance

Regular cleaning will help maintain your fan's performance and extend its lifespan.

  • Always unplug the fan from the power outlet before cleaning.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the fan. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Grille and Blade Cleaning: Dust can accumulate on the grilles and blades, affecting airflow.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your fan, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
