1. Product Overview

2. Important Safety Information

Please read all instructions carefully before using the appliance. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

• Always place the roaster oven on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use oven mitts or the cold-touch handles when handling the lid, removable pan, or rack.
• To protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse the base unit, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
• For the first use, it is normal for the unit to produce a slight burning smell and thin wisps of smoke as manufacturing oils burn off. This typically dissipates within 5-10 minutes. It is recommended to perform this initial burn-off in a well-ventilated area or outdoors.

4. Setup

Before first use, follow these steps:

1. Unpack: Remove all packaging materials, stickers, and labels from the roaster oven.
2. Initial Cleaning: Wash the removable enamel-coated pan and roasting rack in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the roaster oven base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.
3. First Use Burn-Off: Place the empty removable pan and roasting rack inside the roaster oven base. Place the lid on top. Plug the unit into a grounded electrical outlet. Turn the temperature knob to the highest setting (450°F) and let it operate for approximately 10-15 minutes in a well-ventilated area. This process burns off any residual manufacturing oils and is normal.
4. Placement: Position the roaster oven on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, away from walls or other appliances to allow for proper air circulation.

5. Operating Instructions

The roaster oven offers various functions for diverse cooking needs.

Temperature Control

The temperature control knob allows you to select temperatures from 150°F to 450°F, as well as 'KEEP WARM' and 'DEFROST' settings.

Cooking Functions

• Roasting/Baking: Place the removable pan with the roasting rack inside the oven base. Place your food (e.g., turkey, chicken, casseroles) on the rack or directly in the pan. Close the self-basting lid. Turn the temperature knob to your desired setting. The indicator light will illuminate when the heating element is active and turn off when the set temperature is reached.
• Self-Basting Lid: The unique design of the lid allows moisture to circulate, continuously basting your food for tender and juicy results, reducing the need for manual basting.
• Defrost Function: Use the 'DEFROST' setting to safely thaw frozen foods, such as a turkey, before cooking. This function provides a gentle, controlled temperature to ensure even thawing.
• Keep Warm Function: Once cooking is complete, turn the knob to 'KEEP WARM' to maintain the food's temperature without overcooking. This is ideal for serving or holding food until guests arrive.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your roaster oven.

1. Always Unplug: Before cleaning, ensure the roaster oven is unplugged from the power outlet and has completely cooled down.
2. Remove Components: Carefully remove the lid, roasting rack, and removable enamel-coated pan.
3. Wash Removable Parts: Wash the removable pan and roasting rack in warm, soapy water. For stubborn food residue, you may soak them before washing. These parts are designed for easy cleaning. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
4. Clean Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the roaster oven base with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may damage the finish. Never immerse the base unit in water or any other liquid.
5. Clean Lid: Wipe the lid with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
6. Storage: Once all parts are clean and dry, reassemble the roaster oven or store the components separately in a dry place.
