5. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly wipe down the body, neck, and strings with a soft, dry cloth after each use to remove sweat and grime. For a deeper clean, use guitar-specific cleaning products.
- String Replacement: Strings should be replaced periodically, depending on usage, to maintain optimal tone and playability. Loosen the old strings, remove them, and install new ones, ensuring they are properly seated in the tuning machines and bridge.
- Fret Care: Inspect frets for any sharp edges (fret sprout) or wear. Minor fret sprout can be carefully filed down with specialized tools. Regular cleaning of the fretboard can prevent buildup.
- Bridge Adjustment: The 4-saddle bridge allows for individual string height (action) and intonation adjustments. Use the provided Allen wrench to fine-tune these settings to your preference. Adjusting the action too low may cause string buzzing.

6. Troubleshooting
- String Buzzing: This can be caused by low action, uneven frets, or a bowed neck. Check string height at the bridge and adjust as needed. If the issue persists, consult a professional luthier.
- Poor Intonation: If notes played at the 12th fret are out of tune compared to the open string, the intonation needs adjustment. Adjust the saddle position on the bridge until the open string and 12th fret harmonic/fretted note match.
- No Sound/Weak Output: Ensure the guitar cable is securely connected to both the bass and the amplifier. Check the volume knob on the bass and amplifier. Test with a different cable or amplifier to isolate the problem.
- Scratchy Pots: If the volume or tone knobs produce static or crackling sounds when turned, the potentiometers may need cleaning or replacement.
