Setup

1. Battery Installation

1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the clock.
2. Insert 3 x AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Initial Power-On and Radio Signal Reception

Upon inserting batteries, the clock will automatically power on and begin searching for the DCF (radio-controlled) time signal. This process may take several minutes to an hour, depending on your location and signal strength. During this time, a signal icon will flash on the display.

• Place the clock near a window for better reception.
• Avoid placing it near electronic devices that may cause interference.
• Once the signal is received, the time and date will be automatically set, and the signal icon will become solid.

3. Manual Time and Date Setting (If Radio Signal Fails)

If the radio signal cannot be received or you prefer to set the time manually:

1. Press and hold the SET button for approximately 3 seconds to enter time setting mode. The setting value will flash.
2. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the value.
3. Press SET again to confirm and move to the next setting (e.g., 12/24 hour format, hour, minute, year, month, day, temperature unit).
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all desired settings are configured.
5. The clock will automatically exit setting mode if no button is pressed for 15 seconds.

Operating

1. Display Information

The display shows the following information:

• Time: Current time (12-hour or 24-hour format).
• Date: Month and day.
• Indoor Temperature: Measured in Celsius or Fahrenheit.
• Indoor Humidity: Displayed as a percentage.
• Alarm Status: An icon indicates if the alarm is active.

2. Setting the Alarm

1. Press and hold the AL.SET button for approximately 3 seconds. The alarm hour will flash.
2. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the alarm hour.
3. Press AL.SET again to confirm and move to the alarm minute setting.
4. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the alarm minute.
5. Press AL.SET again to confirm and exit alarm setting mode.

3. Activating/Deactivating the Alarm

Briefly press the AL.SET button to toggle the alarm on or off. An alarm icon will appear on the display when the alarm is active.

4. Snooze Function

When the alarm sounds, press the ON/OFF button (usually the top touch area) to activate the snooze function. The alarm will temporarily stop and sound again after a few minutes (default snooze duration). To stop the alarm completely, press any other button.

5. Backlight and Night Mode

• Manual Backlight: Briefly press the ON/OFF button to illuminate the display for a few seconds.
• Night Mode: The clock features a light sensor that can automatically activate a dim backlight in low-light conditions, providing continuous visibility at night. This feature can be enabled or disabled in the settings menu (refer to manual setting section).

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

Wipe the clock with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the display or casing. Avoid getting moisture into the device.

2. Battery Replacement

When the display becomes dim or the clock functions erratically, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in the Setup section. Always replace all three AAA batteries at the same time with new ones.

Troubleshooting

• Clock not receiving radio signal:
  Ensure the clock is placed away from electronic interference and near a window. Try repositioning the clock. Allow sufficient time for signal reception (up to an hour).
• Display is dim or blank:
  Check battery levels and replace if necessary. Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity.
• Alarm not sounding:
  Verify that the alarm is activated (alarm icon visible on display). Check that the alarm time is set correctly.
• Incorrect time displayed:
  If the radio signal is not received, manually set the time as described in the Setup section. If the radio signal is active, ensure your time zone settings are correct if applicable (though this model primarily uses DCF for central European time).
• Touch controls unresponsive:
  Ensure your fingers are clean and dry. If the issue persists, try removing and reinserting batteries to reset the device.
