4. Setup

Initial Setup:

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the heat press from its packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
  2. Placement: Place the machine on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Ensure adequate space around the unit for safe operation and heat dissipation.
  3. Power Connection: Plug the machine into a grounded 110V power outlet.
  4. Power On: Flip the red power switch on the control panel to the 'ON' position. The digital display will illuminate.

Adjusting Pressure:

Proper pressure is crucial for successful heat transfers. The pressure adjustment knob is located on top of the heating plate.

  1. Slightly press down the handle to relieve tension.
  2. Turn the pressure adjustment knob clockwise to increase pressure.
  3. Turn the pressure adjustment knob counter-clockwise to decrease pressure.
  4. Test the pressure by closing the press. It should require firm but manageable effort to close.

Setting Temperature and Time:

The digital control panel allows precise setting of temperature and time.

  1. Temperature Setting: Press the 'SET' button once. The temperature display will flash. Use the 'Up' and 'Down' arrow buttons to adjust the desired temperature (e.g., 280°F for sticker transfer).
  2. Time Setting: Press the 'SET' button a second time. The timer display will flash. Use the 'Up' and 'Down' arrow buttons to adjust the desired time in seconds (e.g., 10 seconds for sticker transfer).
  3. Confirm Settings: Press the 'SET' button a third time to exit the setting mode and save your changes.
  4. Counter Reset: The bottom display shows the production counter. To reset it, hold down the 'Down' arrow button for approximately 5 seconds until it returns to zero.
